That is such an awesome look. Their current uniforms are some of the best in baseball, but I think I like that vintage take on their current ones even more.

Jon Morosi of FOX Sports reports that the Padres most recent offer to free agent hurler James Shields was four years and between $72 and $80 million.

On the surface it seems like a very fair offer and one that Shields would be wise to accept. There are several other teams rumored to be in the mix for his services, but industry sources believe that it would be an upset if Shields wound up anyplace else at this point.
