Per @Marlins White Sox get LHP Dan Jennings (not GM Dan Jennings) for Andre Rienzo. Another solid pen add for White Sox

Phenomenal trade. That completes the bullpen

Don't know much about him. ERA, strong k numbers, not so great WHIP. In general though, would appear to be an upgrade, especially since it appeared Rienzo wasn't going to be a good long-term fit. Like the fact that Jennings is cheap / cost controlled.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Also, great trade.

I like it. Rienzo had no real future on this team. Jennings can be used as a 6th and 7th inning guy along with Guerra. He's also left-handed.

I wouldn't be surprised if he out-performed Zach Duke. He also has reverse-splits...so I'm not sure what to exactly make of that.

Jennings has significant reverse splits.

Either way this is fine. The org was clearly done with Rienzo.

Wow. This looks like a great trade.

Awesome. Good luck to Rienzo!

I can't believe Rienzo was worth even a warm body.

Doesn't look like this guy has any platoon split differential.

It looks like he gets hit quite a bit. Lefties hit .291 off him last year. Yet he still had a ERA below 2. His strand rate was 88%, which tells me he's really good at getting high leverage outs, or he got lucky as hell.

This should mean no relief work for Rodon

Thank God.

Does Jennings have any options remaining? (Does Surkamp for that matter?)

Awesome. Shoring up the bullpen

So, the bullpen looks a lot better.

RHP

Guerra

Petricka

Webb

Putnam

Cleto?

LHP

Duke

Surkamp

Jennings

Closer - Robertson

Missing anyone?

So what happens to Surkamp?

Excellent, even if it doesn't work out, it's a great trade that should be made 100% of the time.

Looks better, but didn't think Downs/belli/cleto would be so terrible first two months last year :)

Also hopefully allows any remaining money in the budget to go to the offense

Yeah I think LHP Onelki Garcia has a real chance as well.

Bullpen shaping up nicely, and maybe some room to trade a Webb or Guerra if they have to.

Jennings took a line drive off the head last year. Looked really painful.

Look again, he absolutely does.

Career:

.284/.354/.403 against L

.233/.322/.389 against R

Hope somebody tells Robin - this one's tricky!

Oh yeah, forgot about him.
