on Monday I thought "oh wow, our bullpen could be pretty good", then they actually start throwing and...maybe robertson is good? He's the only one who hasn't been hit yet.

 

Oh well, just remembering now that sports are 90% painful and 1% fun and 100% drunk.

The Royals bullpen has guys throwing 100. We have guys barely reaching 90. And that's not an exaggeration either. Putnam and Duke top out around the low 90s. Robertson, Petricka, and Guerra sit around the mid 90s. We really don't have guys who throw really hard in the bullpen.

We've had a bullpen that throws nothing but heat. That's not what makes them so effective. The are arguably the best pen in baseball because they are accurate and have nasty stuff breaking and straight. It's not like we are facing nobodies here
