July 31, 201510 yr One big reason I wouldn't do a Shark for rental bat is you then are losing a decent draft pick. If the net returns gives you the rental bat plus something better than that pick, IMO, it's a no brainer.

July 31, 201510 yr I could see a 3 team trade between Chi/SD/NYY involving the Sox getting Upton, the Yanks getting Shark and Kimbrel and sending 1 good spec to each team with the Sox throwing SD some 10-20 rangers Or maybe a situation where we send them Avi and some 2-5 ranged guys and land Wil Meyers, while the Yankees end up with Kimbrel and Shark.
