Winning the season series 4-3 against the Blue Jays doesn't make sense, but that's baseball.

I can't believe this team is "only" 5 under. There's literally zero reasons other than blind optimism to think they will run off something like 14 of 20, but if they do, hell, they are right f***ing there.

Pitching vs the top offense in the league was very good minus John Danks.

They are at 11 of 17, and 6 of 8. That isn't that far off.

 

The other nice thing about this one is now the pen gets a full day of rest after the 6 2/3 IP the night before. Everyone except maybe Carroll should be ready to go.

Have to take at least 2 of 3 against the Cubs going into the break. That would put us 4 games under at the break which is reasonable. A sweep would put us 2 games under!
