July 31, 201510 yr If the situation was reversed, and the packages were similar, I am sure Hahn would trade a guy like Cespedes to the Mets rather than the Tigers. Just be happy the Sox didn't overpay a divison rival for a rental.

Getting down to the last hour and freaking out and overpaying for a bat. If you were going to make a trade you had to do it several days before today. I mean, cmon, I'd hate to have our GM overpay for a rental. That'd be crazy with Texas, Toronto and Baltimore on paper way better than the Sox.
