Not sure what Houston still needs but the Rays were rumored to be seeking a bullpen arm so the Sox and Rays could match up well for a trade. We've already got Avi for that. Guyer also did that with only 679 PAs over the 2 years while Fowler maintained it for 1195 PAs. Teams may not be convinced of Desmond Jennings' health andthey may be more intrigued by the possibility of Brandon Guyer who hit .265/.359/.413 spanning 385 plate appearances in 2015. He has three years of team control remaining and is only due to make $1.185MM in 2016. I like Coghlan's LHB, pop and corner OF defense. If the cubs were smart, they would let Fowler sign elsewhere, get the pick and re-sign Jackson. Problem with that idea is if they brought Jackson back, they are probably might prefer to move Solar instead of Coghlan to keep a better balance of LH/RH OF bats. Coghlan is a guy that I've talked about a lot too. In a perfect world, you could nab Guyer and Coghlan. Players are reporting to ST and there's still no viable rumors on Jackson, just speculation on teams that could be a fit. I think DA was right when he said Jackson's price might still be considered too high. Imo, an average bat with plus OF defense and no comp pick attachment should have been signed by now.
