They had been talking all of training camp that an extension was in the works. I presume they weren't going to let one game ruin whatever they had already decided. They obviously view stability as key for the young QB and think Fisher is the right guy there. I agree that you need to have a lot of stability so a young QB comes up in one system and is able to really get ingrained in one offense, but man, Fisher has kind of proven he is what he is.

Were they afraid Fisher would be poached elsewhere?

Man the Bills oline is not the run blockers they have been

Its embarrassing how many chances that guy gets. Fisher is terrible.

So Jeff Fisher is expected to get a 3 year extension from the Rams. How the f*** is that guy still employed let alone getting a 3 year extension?

I honestly thought this was a joke

Lol some of these bills decisions on 3rd and short

If you know it's 4 down territory, why not just run a normal play on third?

Man Bills look horribly coached. I always thought Ryan was a good enough coach and deserved a second chance. But this is brutal.

That Bills 4th down debacle and then the Jets follow it up by not going for 2 after they score the td there. How can coaches be this f***in dumb?!?

edit: nobody cares

Second edit: talking about nobody cares about my original comment which was regarding fantasy

I know there were a few penalties last night, but I gotta say that was another fun Thursday night game. I also checked out the Twitter stream just to see how it was and I was impressed, nice job by the NFL doing this. Hopefully more leagues follow.

Yea, he has shown that he can provide stability for #1 overall QB picks lol.

Now I should point out, that is what "they" the Rams obviously must think. Not what Chisoxfn thinks. That said, in general, I am a big believer of surrounding a young player with stability, which is why if I'm drafting a QB #1 overall, I'm making sure whomever I have as his coach / OC are going to be there for a few years. You can't just cut the cord immediately. Heck, Tampa Bay went so far as to fire their HC to ensure their OC wouldn't get away from Winston (because they valued that consistency so much).

I am not meaning that to say I am poking fun at you. I have no idea wtf the Rams are doing or thinking. Offense has NEVER been Fishers forte'

@PFF_NateJahnke

GB's David Bakhtiari has gone 453 pass-blocking snaps without surrendering a sack; longest current streak for a LT

That will get you 51 million dollars.

But Koetter has shown he can lead young QBs. Fisher should never have been allowed another chance after last year, it's understandable with a young qb, but it's also just exacerbating a bad situation. Does anybody believe the Rams will be a threat?

Chiefs offense made the Bears offense look good vs. the Texans last week.

AP looks like his season may be over.

Man, Vikes look like they have a superbowl level defense but how many more injuries can they take?

They are so fast to the football it's crazy. Their lateral quickness and tackling is better than Denver IMO.

If Bradford keeps playing like he did last night, they will win the division with Asiata as the starting RB.

These taunting penalties are so god damn stupid. Terrell Pryor got one for accidentally hitting Ladarius Webb with the ball when he was tossing it to the ref.

After watching the Chiefs and the Bears play the Texans, I think it's fair to say that we might have underrated the offense a bit in week 1. The fact that the o-line kept Watt and Clowney fairly quiet is pretty impressive. They were all over Alex Smith yesterday.

At this point everyone might as well twerk, because if you even smile you're getting a flag tossed.

I just really don't understand the point of it.

This is so true, last week I thought the Bears had a nice 1st half and in the 2nd half just got out-talent'd so they deserved to lose but they put up a fight.

After watching Smith get pummeled yesterday it made last weeks game look even better, I think they win tonight.

That pissed me off so much.
