May 20, 20169 yr You might want to hold off on that WEAREGOOD meme until we get to 14-15 games over .500 Or change it to SaleandSpankyaresuper
May 20, 20169 yr The greatest thing about Sale this season is he looks like he is locked in, and there is very little emotion on the mound, just business. You used to see him get really upset after mistakes, but now he is just ready to throw the next pitch. Just an awesome thing to watch
May 20, 20169 yr When Sale gave up that homer, my thought was "meh, not even worried. He's got this." It wasn't even a bad pitch, it was barely in the zone, low and away.
May 20, 20169 yr Sale had an interesting quote after the game: "I'm not throwing as many anger pitches or hate pitches. And rely on my defense. That's the key to all of this. That's the master plan." http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/i...-and-chris-sale
May 20, 20169 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2016 -> 09:05 AM) Sale had an interesting quote after the game: "I'm not throwing as many anger pitches or hate pitches. And rely on my defense. That's the key to all of this. That's the master plan." http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/i...-and-chris-sale They mentioned this during the broadcast. Instead of getting upset and trying to over-compensate for a bad pitch he just shakes it off and throws the next pitch.
May 20, 20169 yr He's incredible. Can't believe a pitcher can just decide to be something else and have possibly more success when they are already great.
May 20, 20169 yr I love how he's mixing speeds. Even though he's got the heat, he doesn't rely on it. I swear one of his curves/changes last night clocked at 77. Can't say for sure, but I thought I saw that. He's "pitching" and not "throwing." With his arm, no wonder he's 9-0.

I swear one of his curves/changes last night clocked at 77. Can't say for sure, but I thought I saw that. He's "pitching" and not "throwing." With his arm, no wonder he's 9-0. hes throwing more to contact. Changing speeds on all of his pitches and not worrying about perfect location all the time. Its a great recipe.
May 20, 20169 yr It was a pleasure to be in attendance for win #9. Even after the homer, you knew he was going to finish it off. Next 6 starts vs Royals, Tigers, and Indians. Go get 'em.
May 20, 20169 yr My favorite part of watching Sale this year is how easy he makes it look. With the exception of his start at Baltimore, he's had very few high stress innings/pitches and has been on cruise control in just about every start. He's no longer emotional and dominates in each and every start. We're watching a future Hall of Famer in his prime. Enjoy it.
May 20, 20169 yr QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 20, 2016 -> 09:32 AM) We're watching a future Hall of Famer in his prime. Enjoy it. Truth.
May 20, 20169 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2016 -> 07:05 AM) Sale had an interesting quote after the game: "I'm not throwing as many anger pitches or hate pitches. And rely on my defense. That's the key to all of this. That's the master plan." http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/i...-and-chris-sale Those would be stress pitches as well I'm sure. Glad he never threw his arm/elbow out by anger pitches. He seems like he could do it lol
May 20, 20169 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 20, 2016 -> 08:29 AM) hes throwing more to contact. Changing speeds on all of his pitches and not worrying about perfect location all the time. Its a great recipe. Rodon needs to pay close attention to how Sale has matured as a pitcher

May 20, 20169 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 20, 2016 -> 05:23 AM) #WeAreGood #SaleIsReallyFkinGood We're not that good right now. Sale is though.
May 20, 20169 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 20, 2016 -> 09:23 AM) I'm still shocked he's managing to pitch so well without Drake in the clubhouse. 2nd row behind the dugout..................
