Why would any team claim him on waivers when the White Sox are stuck with him?

All they have to do is let the 10 day claim period pass and then low ball the Sox with an offer...leaving an uncomfortable decision of bringing him back to the Sox or letting him go, as both would have negative consequences.

I have a feeling the Sox will have no qualms giving Shields away for nothing as long as the receiving team takes on his contract.

Shields over Latos/Linecum

Anderson up before he was ready

Bungling the Shark move last July and then being stubborn to give up the pick when we desperately needed to replace AVI

Deciding Jason Coats could hold his own at the big league level

Allowing the team to reach a state where AAAA guys like Shuck and Sands were hitting 5th in a real MLB line-up

DESPERATE TIMES don't call for desperate measures unless you're fighting for your professional life...

Shields with a real nice inning there. Maybe he figured it out. I bet he is out there for the sixth

Frazier is about 11 at bats from the Mendoza line.

I think people are using their dissatisfaction with the team's on field performance an excuse to discredit the FO and organization as a whole.

Hahahahaha what?

Anderson as leadoff hitter is just stupid

The organization is awful. Talent level is bad at the big league level and farm system is a disgrace. Hahn has made a ton of moves the last few years, and almost everyone has failed.

The truth

Anderson does not look dangerous at all.

Please someone teach our hitters discipline.

Well, Tim is doing just great at the top of the order.

Thanks, Adam.

He'd better be.

Always takes him a while to adjust. They just need to let him be aggressive and not force him to be something he isn't

Discredit the FO? What have they done lately? 1 playoff appearance in what ten years?
d

You mean besides envelop this organization in a culture of losing?

Guys... One swing and it's a one run game

Don't stop now boys

Most managers bat rookies towards the bottom of the lineup to take pressure off of them. I don't understand Robin's logic.

Well, Eaton looks REALLY comfortable in the 2 hole...

C'mon Jose....Need a bomb here.

At this point in their careers, Saladino is the better player and should be the starting SS.

If you've followed him since he was drafted you'd know he struggles each time he moves up a level for a short time. This was to be expected.

Of course. A team taking his contract would take on the entire contract, and the Sox would still get the money the Padres are paying them.

Then what in the hell is he doing in the leadoff spot?
