Jason Coats is the most clueless hitter I have ever seen. He looks absolutely horrible today

To be fair, so would just about anyone.

Yeah Hawk would be worse.

Seriously, what in the world is Coats swinging at

Coats has absolutely no chance. Send him down.

Send Coats down tonight he blows.

Coats 3 pitches and a K

Once again three pitches to Coats and he k's. He is overmatched cup here

7 k's in 9 AB.

Seems the Sox were right having Coats light it up in AAA, and leaving him there.Might have made decent trade filler.

Or GM

Who was that big 1B that everyone was clamoring for who was leading AAA in homers and get totally exposed with the Sox?

Can't remember his name anymore, blocking it out deliberately.

Yeah, I'm over the Coats experience. He is AAA filler.

That's 3 dingers from our awesome catching tandem in 4 games.

Thanks, Robin?

I think people are using their dissatisfaction with the team's on field performance an excuse to discredit the FO and organization as a whole.

They're playing a DH that can't hit and a RFer that can't field.

The organization is awful. Talent level is bad at the big league level and farm system is a disgrace. Hahn has made a ton of moves the last few years, and almost everyone has failed.

Discredit the FO? What have they done lately? 1 playoff appearance in what ten years?

Yeah Hawk would be worse.

But then he would be overly excited again when AJ, Thome or Rowand was named manager. At least for a week or two.

I'd take Carl Everett at this point, or Big Frank as interim until the end of the season.

Looking silly and not making plays are two different things. I don't think that an above-average RF would've caught that ball.

I don't think he had a chance for that ball

I disagree Sox have not made playoffs in years, have same issues and problems year after year with no end in sight. FO needs changed top to bottom.

I'm wondering if the Padres would be willing to deal Jon Jay for a prospect price that the Sox could afford. I don't think that they could afford Reddick or Bruce. Jay would be a solution to the #2 spot and would allow the offensively challenged Ajax to be a fourth outfielder.

Lol thought the same thing.

I fully expected Shields to throw that ball into RF

105 pitches...for 5 IP.

Clown.
