Yes, the Bulls would have to take back salary. And who cares? You're an 8th seed with butler. Take back some bad contracts to make it work and set yourself up for 5-7 years.

It not that simple. They would have to take a lot of salary back and Boston is one team without a lot of wasted salary.

The plan for the Bulls seems obvious. They are paying Wade to recruit someone next season. And hope he has enough legs left so they can have a big 3. They can't be delusional enough to think they had any shot this year. Hopefully they get Sacrementos pick. But unless a miracle happens and they somehow get Curry or Griffin, which IMO, is delusional, this was just to entertain their ticket holders a couple of years before they really suck again for 4 or 5 years unless there is another Lebron or Jordan they can draft.

Tyler Zeller sucks and is making $16 million through next year. They could make it work. But sure. Just like MJ got free agents to come to the Wizards let's hope a 35-year old Wade can do that for Chicago. Not hating on you. You're right. I've heard that dumb plan on radio and online. Wade doesn't have that type of influence on anybody who's not his best friend. Especially not at 35.

I don't really see a great course of action for bulls, but I'd rather they keep adding because I can't take three rebuilding teams at once.

Got my dad a really nice Hawks sweater for XMas since it's nice that there's one quality franchise in Chicago.

(Yes, deliberate).

Paxson comes out and says they need to be more athletic. Yet, signed Wade and Rondo lol

Nothing these guys say means anything anymore. Their actions and their words are just out of sync. Almost like a certain President-elect.

What do you think Reinsdorf is thinking right now if they have to fire another coach? How can they continue to run the business this way?

670 The Score ‏@670TheScore 36m36 minutes ago Report: Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg is on the hot seat. http://cbsloc.al/2imrm1W

While I do think we can do better than Hoiberg, we're right about where I thought this roster would take us. More people should be on the hot seat, but it's the Bulls and Reinsdorf.

Yes. Pax talks about the lack of athleticism, and they can't shoot threes? Hoiberg sucks, but the problem goes higher up the flag pole. GarPax has already brought you Vinnie Del Negro and Hoiberg. I think if a new coach is the plan, it might be a good idea to let someone else make the decision, after all the coach they did pick who won coach of the year, they didn't like.

Robin Lopez thinks he is his brother. 2 rebounds in 19 minutes. And Rondo, 11 minutes played -20? Hey Gar, have you figured out why he took your money?

Robin Lopez is the least of the Bulls problem. I actually think he's had a nice season.

The signing of Rando and Wade still remains a joke just like the Bulls organization.

Here's the thing. Rondo was brought in for pacing reasons and Hoiberg wanted him. Rondo also helped get Wade to Chicago. GarPax needs to go before anyone else, but it won't happen. They sold the rest of the squad as good up and coming talent. They passed on Harris and Nurkic (not to mention Zach LaVine) for Doug McDermott. They passed on Giorgiu Dieng for Tony Snell. Mirotic and McDermott are in their 3rd year in the NBA, Mirotic played professionally overseas and McDermott was a 4 year college player IIRC. They are still as inconsistent as 8th men on good teams are. Thing is, they're supposed to be the 3rd and 4th option. Mirotic will have his excellent 3 weeks of terror, as will McDermott, and people will be fooled again into thinking they have anymore of a future than which is true - they're average players who are supposed to be shooting specialists, but they can't shoot that great from 3.

If Hoiberg is let go, I don't expect the next coach they bring in to last long. The team has no identity, they're not great offensively or defensively. They're not contending or rebuilding. They're just a bunch of ill-fitting players wearing the same colored uniform. Heck, you can bring in Popovich and they still won't get past the second round. Unfortunately in the NBA there is no easy way to get out of mediocrity. We could sit here and hope Wade does not opt out and against all odds recruits Blake Griffin to the Bulls this off season. Even then, we're still missing a piece or two.

It's time to start preparing for the rebuild. How fast/well they can rebuild all depends the brain power of the FO. I don't even trust the brains of GarPax enough to manage my fantasy team, let alone rebuilding the team.

The Rondo signing was inexcusable. Any scout watching that guy intently could see the same problems as now. They didn't care, Gar is smarter than everyone. But beyond that, it's now a thing that our drafts post the scout that left us for the magic have been brutal. But watching the 76ers/twelves/etc, rebuilding is too hit or miss in NBA. Just keep going and see what happens.

Rondo doesn't play defense like he used to. That's inexcusable. He passes. That's it.

If he didn't have to throw in the cheap shot about how terrible analytics are, I'd be happy to agree.

Edit: Ugh, I take it back. On a game to game basis, the NBA is as good of a production as it has ever been. Everything he said is wrong.
