  2. Jose Ramirez wasn't good either. Seems like Tampa knew how to handle Adell and Ramirez much better than we did. It was the opposite for DeLauter. He absolutely killed them, whereas he was pretty quiet against us.
  3. Today

  4. A look back at the last time Milwaukee won the World Series - 69 years ago. WLUKRemembering Milwaukee's only World Series Championship ba...The Brewers have swung and missed in all 56 of their tries at winning a World Series, but Milwaukee has earned one World Series title.
  5. If PCA keeps up with this level of performance going forward....yes.
  6. My Dad had season tix in the Club level for a few years. Great seats, but you feel cut off from the other fans too much. Personally, I prefer the lower seats at the 500 level. Feels more like a ballgame. But yeah, other stadiums have good club level seating. Sat there in Philly. Great experience even tho it was one of the worst ballgames ever. Sox and Phils extra innings when both teams sucked
  7. The Mets - the same team that traded away PCA for a couple of month of Javier Baez. Woof. Such a poorly run franchise for all the money sunk into their payroll.
  8. The White Sox ran out of steam. Just like the Guardians and their pitching ran out of steam against the Rays. I honestly expected Sox to make the ALCS....but I don't think they could have won a 7 game series even if Castillo had a Peralta like turnaround. Sox pitching was on fumes and the Rays were well rested. Should be a fun world series and I am SO GLAD that schmuck Ramirez is watching from his couch just like the White Sox.
  9. I think it's silly to call out the Sox for not making a move by just looking at what happened two months after the deadline and picking the guys who did well. Nobody was clamoring for Peralta at the deadline because he sucked. I think it's entirely fair, however, to call the Sox out for not being able to make these moves, and failing with the one they did try (Castillo).
  10. Peralta was going to bat for Mune and Montgomery (2)?
  11. All the more frustrating that the Sox with the advantages they have in many areas haven't been able to dominate it.
  12. Soxtalk love affair Jo Adell with an ALCS for the ages. .136/.208/.227 for a boisterous .436 OPS.
  13. "The knock here is the lack of power, as Pitre has only average-ish EVs and a propensity for ground balls. The realistic projection is a table-setting, OBP-heavy 2B with solid defense who could be ready by the middle of 2027, with upside for a bit more if the Mets can coax out improvements to his vertical spray." Mehhhhhhh.... “Everything changed when I got traded,” Peralta told ESPN. “I said it before that I’ve been treated here as a king, and I feel really good about it. They’re working me really well here.” Tampa Bay is known throughout baseball for its ability to build pitchers and, in this case, they rebuilt Peralta back into the top-end starter he portrayed in Milwaukee prior to his Mets trade.
  14. They were great at developing talent I think they are just now better than developing talent than the other AL Central teams which is no grat accomplishment.
  15. One hit wonders are the exception. I fully understand they won a world series but then were never heard from again.
  16. Rays didn’t even give up that much to get Peralta. I like Aiden Smith but he hasn’t really hit since leaving the Cal League. Gary Gill Hill has a good arm and a great name, but he’s regressed. Third player is just a guy. Nice move for them
  17. The Guards are great at developing talent but can’t keep it. Where would they be if Ramirez didn’t give them a hometown discount? Their best chance was against the Cubs in 2016 and they totally blew it.
  18. So, 2005 never happened? I think ESPN would totally agree with your assessment here.
  19. That just shows how pathetic the AL Central is and has been as the little Det and KC runs were the only AL Central success in the last 30+ years as the late 90s Indians never won anything. What a shitty division.
  20. I see what you did there(?).
  21. Hope it goes 6 or 7. Either is a great story, but hard not to go Brewers if you were raised in the Midwest. Plus, they continue to infuriate Cubs' fans with their #19 payroll.
  22. No, at best, it would have been 4-1 or 4-2 Rays...Peralta's high fastballs would have killed them and Rasmussen is an underappreciated staff ace. Booser suddenly a world beater, too. White Sox have their Big 3, but not quite the star power of Caminero. And Chandler Simpson really impresses you watching him more and more. Kind of a throwback to the 80s player.
  23. Would Peralta also saved our offense from striking out 3,746 times? There’s no defending the Castillo move. It was/is flat out bad. But let’s also be realistic, 1 player wasn’t making this team a legit WS contender.
  24. I honestly don't care who wins the World Series. I like both teams, and I really like that there are teams not called the Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox, etc. playing. I just REALLY didn't want to see Cleveland there. I hate to be this way, but I loved seeing the glum faces as Tampa handed the Guardians their ass.
