  3. Although this year with the lockout coming no business will be conducted until that is resolved.
  4. All I can say is fingers crossed hope the offense delivers.
  5. First inning will be telling. Pena, Alvarez, Paredes and then the second time through...if Fedde is still pitching. High humidity greases the ball for home runs. Might be over early.
  6. Getz has to trade for a catcher. No time to left to lose. (cue the Guess Who "No Time")
  7. Colson on the bench today where he belongs for a couple of games.
  8. You took the words right out of my mouth, Quero has really regressed.
  9. After Teel's third injury, I am thinking that the Sox brass may have moved on from considering him as the starting catcher for the next few seasons. IF that is the case, then a trade for Hunter Goodman, for example might make sense. Then Goodman become the starting catcher with Teel as back-up. It is what it is. Teel's legs have not held up and that cannot be ignored.
  10. The bottom line is they should be buying something, or it will show the players the front office doesn't believe in them. But trading their best prospects at this point would be shortsighted. A year from now, that could be very different.
  11. Mune bobblehead today. Based on remaining tickets available looks to be another 30k+ day. Edit: Lmfao they actually have a bidet as the sponsor
  12. One more loss in a row and I make a fire sale thread. You asked for it.
  13. FWIW, I don't think any team should buy at all costs. Even the dodgers have their limits.
  14. Finally SoxTalk's chi is back to an equilibrium. It was unbalanced with the loss of that extreme pessimism. I tried my best to make up for it, but I'm only one man.
  15. SIThe Padres Must Trade Mason Miller Before the DeadlineA year after overpaying for baseball’s best closer, the smart move is for San Diego to move him.
  16. Obviously if the right deal is on the table to improve the team now and in the future with a controllable player Getz should do that. But for the most part I don’t want him being aggressive with dealing any of our top prospects. We’re only like 75% done this rebuild, don’t rush it just because some are getting overexcited with our unexpected early success. I think this team is 3/4 key players away from being true WS contenders. Just stabilize the pitching staff enough to give the kids a legit shot to get experience in the playoffs would be the route I’d go. A rental SP and RP without giving up any top prospects.
  17. I think today is the day Mune breaks out and hits 1 or 2 dingers
  18. Today

  19. #10: Seattle Mariners. It seems like nobody wants to win the AL West, and the Mariners are one of those "Nobodies". #9: Texas Rangers. The Rangers are the other "Nobody" team in the Wild West Race. They currently sit on top of that heap with an even .500 record. #8: Chicago Cubs. They still sit in the top Wild Card in the National League. The bats and gloves are good enough to win some postseason games, but who will pitch? #7: Chicago White Sox. This season has been a ton of fun on the South Side. Will they make a move to keep it going? Imagine Tarik Skubal on this team. Now wake up, that's not happening. yahoo.com/sports
  20. MLB Trade RumorsBrewers Designate Lance McCullers Jr. For AssignmentMcCullers was acquired from the Astros in a trade on July 15. MLBTR breaks down his recent performance and potential future. He has been atrocious this year and his Baseball Savant page backs that up, but he does have an xERA of 4.57 and can still strike people out. Worth a shot as a long man maybe?
  21. Can Fedde make it through the Astros line-up twice? Can he avoid game changing home runs with men on base? Can the White Sox survive the potential curse of three consecutive 666th innings? I fear the bitches broom is lurking in the 'Stros dugout while the wand has lost its magic.
  22. Mine/Vargas Both catchers are an automatic out at this point and with it being a day game after night game this was expected
  23. Looks like you’ll need a pinch hit homer from Colson. Although, if you nail 3 out of 4, I’m counting that as a successful prediction.
