2026 Catch All thread:
Hey, guess how many sex crimes the “undocumented” account for in Chicago. It’s a lot. Or guess why the overall number of sex crimes has gone down in the last couple of years. But I guess if they’re digging your ditches cheaply, meh.

Man, I didn't think Patrick Stewart was 86. I don't know why I thought he was much younger.

Yea they were just saying signing bonus is done, titans take the cap hit next two years, bears basically on the hook for 35M for this year and next, and can get out of it in year 3 if necessary. If not it’s I believe 8.1M for year 3

Chase homered off some really good pitchers last year. Misiorowski, Chapman, Bednar, Abreu.

Yep, I thought he was an impending free agent and they were giving up that draft capital and would still have to extend him with a Parsons-type deal. Missed the Titans extension over the summer. This is a good deal.

Oh I am definitely stunned they pulled this off. That doesn’t make Greg Gabriel any less of a cranky b**** that puts himself on the wrong side of a tweet 😂

To be fair, everyone said the same when he poached Marco Paddy.

I saw some rumors about the Simmons trade yesterday from some unreliable sources and basically chalked it up to engagement bait. I woke up to this trade today and thought I was still dreaming. I don't think most Bears fans thought Poles had this in him.

They also don't have to pay him any signing bonuses he's owed. The Titans take that cap hit the next 2 years. He's also not owed any guaranteed money after 2028.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire

It has nothing to do with the Cubs. This is how teams make a shitload of money off the books now. Ballpark villages are a boon for revenue.- 2026 NFL thread

Yea, a lot of the previous times we all complain “not the right time AND you overpaid” but right now it’s go time. The league has realized Caleb is special and the bears have realized that they have to maximize the time that they have before his contract becomes a reality.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Most not all Sox fans don't come to throw a party. They come for the game. Cubs don't influence my activities.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Interesting to see Ald. Lee confirming in print what's long been the position of the Bridgeport neighbors: In addition to not wanting the Amtrak facility, they also don't want a major "ballpark village" development. So even if Reinsdorf had wanted to develop the parking lots (or Ishbia tries to pivot to that plan in the future), there would be resistance.- 2026 MLB Catch All (Non Sox, Non AL Central)
Bunch of stuff going down, Ian Happ just signed for 2/30 with the Blue Jays , Clay Holmes opted out of his player option- 2026 NFL thread

Yeah. We are going to start being poached from in the same way that the brewers and rays have. It's unfortunate but it's a sign we are doing something right.- White Sox hiring Matt Roffe as Scouting Director
It's a big gig for him. This is an excellent hire. And the complete opposite of what the Hahn regime would have done- World Series GameThread
Personally I watched maybe 5-6 innings across a couple games, didn't watch last night had Bulls on. Baseball is just a very regional sport and my fandom certainly isn't high enough after 170 or so Sox games to tune in nightly in late October. That said, happy for the Brewers, they have a class org and it's nice to see Yelich get a ring.
