  1. Past hour

  2. Lol Jerry can play Drums in Shatners Metal band..... I heard Jerry got some mean blast beats lol
  3. A fair amount of winning seasons but short on playoff appearances. The aughts White Sox teams were always competitive, for the most part.
  4. Playoffs: 83, 93, 00, 05, 08,20, 21, 26 Is 8 playoff appearances good enough in 47 years? And out of those 8 they only advanced twice. 05 and 26
  5. Those numbers on playoff apperances and winning seasons are telling about ownership and the org. How many winning seasons and playoff appearances does this ownership have in almost 47years ...
  6. I really would like to hear what Will or someone from the org has to say about this. Someone should ask them about how or why all these strikeouts all of a sudden happened. We all can speculate but I’d love to hear it from the horse’s mouth.
  7. Meidroth took a swing last night that if he hadn't taken the swing would have hit him in the head.
  8. I’ll make it simple. No.
  9. 105 wRC+ in first half. 105 wRC+ in second half. Amazing job by the league to figure out the white Sox.
  10. He's giving over control By 2029. We just need him to realize that he should spend time As a fan next year.
  11. It was a really cool season and fun. Again as we Sox fans know the incompetence and frugalness of ownership will not do nothing to take the next step. So that's why Sox fans get how they get when they lose like they did last night. It could be another 10 years.....
  12. You missed the point. Maybe read the room, see it's an appreciation post, and save it?
  13. One of the guys I was hanging out with at the bar last night never saw 2005, which blew my mind and made me feel old as hell. But listening to how much he loved this team.... this is different than 2021. It's more sustainable and we have a better front office. I think this team truly showed the best of us as human beings. Cannot wait for next year.
  14. I don't get this mindset at all. Because the White Sox didn't try this year (low payroll, zero investment at the deadline) setting a low bar of expectations, and because they've been historically bad the years prior, we should be happy with the year. It feels like a huge loser mindset. Most even talk about this rebuild like it was better than the last because of this 84 win season in an AL that's the worst it's been in my life. They choked the division, and then choked the playoff series. But sure, tell me how this is different and deserves admiration. It's legit disappointing to see so many people adjust their expectations just because the Sox became an embarrassment of an org. I'll add, definitely some fun moments and the players deserved more.
  15. Sucks they lost the series how they did, especially with whatever the hell the offense was doing in the last game, but a great season all together and most fun since 2005. As for whatever is next - you just can’t have this many guys in the lineup that strike out to this degree. Either approaches need to change or guys need to be shifted out.
  16. Today

  17. Should I know who Ben Shapiro is and why he matters?
  18. Just a shame the way it ended with winning the first 2 games in the series and then falling flat on our faces in the next 3 but it was the most fun season in a long long time. For me nothing will beat the 1959 and 2005 seasons but when you’re talking pure fun I still think the 1977 Southside Hitmen was the most fun season I’ve experienced as a Sox fan.
  19. Shapiro didn’t strikeout for the Sox a hundred times.
  20. There's no doubt left remaining about the team flaws, as they have all been exposed for the entire baseball world to exploit in 2027. How will/can the players and coaching staff adjust back? Mune will work harder than ever, his ethic/professionalism there has never once been in question.
  21. Then unless he goes back to Japan, you have figure out a way to maximize his value in trade. JR isn't going to just write off $17 million. No to mention he Vargas and Grichuk were the only ones with an OPS over 800 and he's by far their #1 jersey seller. Building the team around Peters Meidroth Vargas Teel and Antonacci (Grichuk too)...then expecting repeats from guys like Newcomb Fedde Hicks Burke Taylor, well that just wont ever go the way you think it will. Giving up on Carlson Colson Braden Mune and Benintendi...is borderline crazy or insane. Not to mention Castillo Kay Hudson Brazobust Martin, etc. Anyone who has ever traded stocks or even sports collectibles or fantasy players before will point out exactly why.
  22. It can be viewed as a historic playoff collapse or a wonderful, unexpectedly fun summer. The half full or half empty glass. Either way the party is over. The strikeouts!! OMG! Thanks, White sox for a great summer.
  23. $1.5 million salary is part of that answer
  24. I was against the Venable signing from day 1, the guy is still on OJT.
  25. Haven’t you heard that a K is just another out.
  26. And the manager and coaches did nothing about, the game plan was to swing as hard as possible.
  27. I hope shitting in the one positive thread gives you the emotional boost you’re looking for.
