The Sox are going to fall short of drawing 2 million this year, if 30,000 show up today the total will be around 1,986,000, still a nice increase of around 500,000 for the year. Another note, I want the Sox to win every game they play and I will be pulling for them today as hard as any other game.

I agree with this. It was a fun season. Remember the Sox shouldn't even be here yet. I bet no one here had them getting over 80 wins. The general consensus was around 68-72 wins

Considering this team lost 102 games last year, even being in the playoffs is a major accomplishment. But yeah, I hope they win at least 1 of the first 2 games. After 1959, there have been only 2 seasons where the Sox won more than one game in postseason (1993 and 2005). That's pretty sad when you think about it.

If you think Murakami's swing is going to correct itself and he's going to return to form (whatever form means for someone who has only had 2 successful months in the MLB), then great!! We both want that. I just doubt it, but he's going to be on the team next year regardless, so the question is what kind of extension he gets, if any. Not sure why you need me to agree with you.

I’m not selling all of my stock in Colson but there’s certainly a lot of work that needs to It’s foolish to sit a guy who can hit 30+ bombs but yeah, he’s one of the guys I trust the least as of right now.

I've said it before but with the popularity of pro football a week to week mentality has overtaken fan logic and the " every team wins 50 (usually) and losses 50 and the highs and lows of the 162 game schedule is now treated like a week to week 17 game schedule. People panic with a bad stretch and get overly exuberant during a good stretch. Same thing with roster moves that don't immediately make an impact or trading away a guy who makes a good 1st impression with his new team. People can talk s%*# about everything bad in a weekly matter over and over and when things turn it's routinely forgotten and pointing out how very wrong people are is considered gauche. There is no depth perception, no seeing the forest for the trees, no big picture perspective.

Would hitting .230 and slugging .500 bee good enough or does his K rate have to be better than a certain percentage ? Lay it all out for me bro. I 'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you did some reading and you understand that the angle of his swing was found to be very different than what it was pre-injury and post injury/slash HR Derby. But just in case and for others sake here it is. The "Good" Period: Murakami's attack angle averaged 18.8 degrees, allowing him to cleanly square up the ball. The "Slump" Period: His average attack angle jumped to 21.5 degrees. While a 2-to-3 degree shift sounds small to the casual observer, in modern baseball metrics, a jump of that magnitude mid-season is massive. It completely altered his swing tilt into an extreme "uppercut" path. This change caused his squared-up contact rate to plummet from over 21% down to a meager 12%, explaining the sudden rise in high fly outs and strikeouts.

I'll be watching more Rangers & Astros than White Sox today I think . hoping that we play the Rangers . I lived in Dallas for several years and went to a ton of Ranger games . never did much like Houston.
