  2. Think Emerson has to be pretty affordable. They need to move someone because they have two elite of elite SP prospects that are ready, and Emerson doesn't have a long track record of success. I just have no idea why a team with Cole Young would trade for Meidroth. Only 2 more years of control and he's not a big swing and miss guy. They're usually cheaper.
  3. His source is reading Tweets from people with sources.
  4. I was shocked to kind out he's on any committee's at his age. This is Gussie Busch part II.
  5. Hope Burke can pitch well again tonight and get things back on a good track. After last night they need a good evening.
  6. Gotta love a 90 year old as a key influence on a decision he won't ever have to see unfold.
  7. For those you don't know these are the MLB owners on the committee that is making recommendations to Manfred on the upcoming labor relations/ lockout: Dick Monfort (Colorado Rockies) Hal Steinbrenner (New York Yankees) John Sherman (Kansas City Royals) Jerry Reinsdorf (Chicago White Sox) Ray Davis (Texas Rangers) Mark Attanasio (Milwaukee Brewers) I found a few things interesting. The only real 'big market' owner on it is Steinbrenner of the Yankees. And he's gone on the record as saying baseball needs a salary cap (coming from the Yankees that is really ironic...) The fact that JR is on it tells me the owners aren't looking to compromise at least early on. I suspect JR will still be trying to 'get even' for what was settled on during the 94-95 impasse. The only real questions are how long will the lockout last and will it impact regular season games.
  8. potential trade chip out for even longer now, rough season after such a hot start.

  10. Because when the Sox lose a game like last night you are like SAME OLD SOX HERE WE GO AGAIN and when the Tigers lose you are like "WELL THEIR SCHEDULE IS STILL EASY!" It's like you want the Sox to lose this so you can give some historical stat about their ineptitude instead of just enjoying the most fun season they've had since 2005.
  11. Unless Ishbia is taking a bigger role than anyone realizes in the hear and now it's hard to imagine JR agreeing to this. That's why I think that report is a tad unreliable.
  12. And the Sox have lost games to shitty teams too, maybe they aren't as good as some think. I'm simply saying the Sox have a difficult two week stretch, on paper Detroit has an opportunity to gain ground and become a serious threat. It all depends on how they play and how the Sox play. Why that seems to irritate you is beyond me.
  13. Have we not learned our lesson on using valuable assets on fucking relievers. It’s the worst asset management philosophy in baseball
  14. you're giving up more than that for Mason Miller
  15. And Michael King has “2 PLAYER options for 30 mil and 35 mil in 27 and 28”
  16. MoccBomb is as reliable as Bartolo’s colon and the old foodies.
  17. No thanks on Miller
  18. Twitter account who claims to have sources on literally every team. Seems legit.
  19. Colson Montgomery's HR power, at least for a SS, is elite. He has carried the Sox in certain stretches this season. As with almost any HR hitter, Colson is going to have a lot of K's so patience is required. The big 3 White Sox power hitters are in a HR drought right now. Very frustrating.
  20. Well they lost today to the shitty Royals so maybe not as big as a threat as you think.
  21. Let's see some dingers tonight! Make the Rate shake!
  22. Fucking incredible. Ha.
