Pass. Really dont want to trade legit prospects for a rental especially one who has struggled this year- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
Yeah, he’s headed to Tampa to meet up with his new team, the White Sox!!!- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
I thought teams acquiring players in trade that are lost to FA no longer get compensation- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
Speculating- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
If is doing some heavy lifting here. Realistically, he's got a better chance of being out of baseball in 3 years than he does being a major league contributor. There's nothing wrong with a guy like this, but he has a LOT of work to do, that he probably won't be able to do.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
Is this confirmed - he's going to Tampa or you are just speculating.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
Because we are getting another starter by taking on salary in addition to getting another starter with more prospect capital. If we go the Peralta route I’d venture to guess that’s our prospect capital buy in the SP market.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework

Katie Perry's bootyhole says no on this deal. Unless torrens is included.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
Whoa Nelly. My prediction is he’s going to the Diamondbacks.- The Threequel GameThread: White Sox @ Rays 6:10 CDT Fedde vs Martinez

Maybe building on this, but if he came over and pitched like he has the past few years down the stretch for the Sox, you could go down the route of a qualifying offer to either retain him or get back a pick (so regain some of that capital). Obviously plenty of scenarios where he isn't worth that qualifying offer - but if was becoming a free agent a year ago, I think he would have gotten that offer.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
I'd just be speculating for the most part, but his arm angle dip probably hasn't helped much given that he's a very very generous 6'0 so it's likely flattened out a fastball that had incredible lift. He's also just struggled to command the slider this year which has killed his fastball as well because even though the slider still has been effective, he's thrown more in the no contest zone so it hasn't played as well off the fastball. His fastball has always outperformed it's grades and sometimes sequencing as a pitcher just works against you a little and you throw your best pitches on strike 0 or 1 instead of strike 2. I'd be willing to bet on a change of scenery though because the guy has been proving everyone wrong since he got into the league and was told he could only make it as a reliever.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
I'd do it for Holmes.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
He’s nothing more than a bunch of blatant agent & front office plants and it’s embarrassingly obvious. Like he literally hypes up Boras’ clients in the offseason to the point it looks like Scott’s staff has access to Jon’s twitter account.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
Giving up Boston Smith and Walkow for a few months of Peralta who isn’t having a great season himself would be a tough pill to swallow….Boston has been raking down in Birmingham.- 7/30 Games
Bonemer’s K rate has also dropped since getting promoted to AA all while maintaining a similar ISO & BB rate at a higher level. He had a rough stretch at High A where the K rate was starting balloon and after like a week of getting it under control he was promoted. It’s clear that something clicked because it’s no longer an issue. Anyone concerned about a 20 year old posting a 24% K rate in AA while maintaining a near .300 ISO and solid BB rate is off in their evaluation of the player. The numbers are plainly put insane and the only real question for Caleb is where he plays because he lacks the technical skills at several spots currently even he has more athleticism than some think.- While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
There isn’t anyone that gloms onto news and breaking stories than heyman. He is so fucking worthless when he calls the score- We have hope, we got The Pope!
On a personal level, I'm anti-dome since I love the impact the elements can play on a sport traditionally played outdoors. And I don't mind sitting in the rain or cold, I might even prefer it since there are likely fewer people in the park and I can wander around/sit where I want more freely. On the other hand, I'm sure a temperature-controlled climate would appeal to players (ie free agents we might want to sign) and help produce a larger fanbase. Rainouts would be a thing of the past. I think the positives of a dome outweigh the negatives, perhaps even from an economic perspective. I also like the idea of adaptive reuse and the current park is in fine shape, it would be wasteful and ecologically insensitive to construct a brand new park. I think a dome on an already-built park is more aligned with the political goals of Illinoisans than a brand new park is. - While Sox / Mets had rumored Peralta framework
