Haugh this morning was like “ummm I have never even done pbp this morning” and I have to think ZZ devotion to the cubs would nix that immediately

Good lord guys, read the room. No one wants that trash.

Also, Bill Cunningham sits down with SitB to break down the situation, for those that are interested.

Article says Brewers were league best swinging at 29% of balls. Anyone know other teams/Sox rate?

The first and last article of the offseason that will link Skubal to the White Sox.

Bowden doesn't know JR very well does he? 😄

Imagine how many YEAH BUDDY’s that poor kid heard for that Sox swag.

I said Zaidman would be horrifying weeks ago. That voice… 🤢 🤮 Stick with the Blue Demons and Cubs, Mr. Monotone.

Jon Greenberg floating the idea of David Haugh or Zaidman. Those would never happen, but funny to see Chicago media trying to pump up the prestige of their colleagues.

Anyone replacing Benetti would've been tough but they hired someone who wasn't qualified to do the job. That was always the biggest issue. Nobody on 670 or ESPn 1000 was unfair to John Schriffen and I followed it all very closely. The White Sox got rid of one of the best broadcasters in the country and hired easily the worst in baseball; intentionally derailing a stellar broadcast. It's the appropriate time because Schriffen's contract expired. God forbid Jerry Reinsdorf pay anyone to not work for him. He could've been good at the job. He wasn't. It's on the White Sox for hiring him in the first place but this is market three. He's fair game for criticism.

I saw that and it feels completely out of nowhere.

“Better” in his case just means better than 6 feet deep. However “better” anyone would want to ascribe to his baseball knowlwdge (eh), flushed down the toilet with his home run calls and yeah buddys. Bro was a non starter.

The Schriff was definitely better in 2026 than he was in 2024 and 2025, when Brooks Boyer called him and Steve the best broadcast team in baseball. He just didn't know the game well enough to be a 1 of 30 guy., he had to use props basically. Seems like a real nice guy. I bet if there was a 10 year old Sox fan living next door to him, he showered them in Sox swag.

Karl Ravech rumblings on the internets?

Awww....that's a shame. Shane was such a good guy. NOT!

Maybe a result of being busier than they were prepared for?

Nelson is a 1 year deal as he is a 27 FA, so it probably brought the price way down because you can’t guarantee a re-sign.

Kind of surprised no one out bid that. That essentially a 4th round and 6th round pick if Seattle is picking at the end of those rounds. Plus one is a future pick.
