  1. Past hour

  2. Getz is not perfect but people wanting to fire him are crazy. He probably should and will win GM of the year
  3. Jerry isnt going to fire Getz. He got that carret Jerry talks about for second place and also got him playoff games money too. Exactly what Jerry wants.
  4. I mean Getz did exactly what he wanted to do this season with the roster and the farm with near perfect execution. And he’s on the doorstep of the ALCS with big team over performance for the ages. Fire him? Extend him.
  5. Ok, you think the Sox are going to rock a $100M payroll next year after making the playoffs and seeing a huge increase in attendance and fan interest? Just for perspective, the median payroll in baseball this year is $175M. And MLB is pushing for a minimum payroll of like $170M. But yes, the White Sox will break all historical precedents and rock a bottom payroll after making a playoff run.
  6. There's only one Chris Getz out there
  7. I dont celebrate failure, so thanks. Youve made some awful takes recently but I would not ever say that
  8. There's no doubt this pitching staff is gassed. Taylor and Smith for sure are on fumes. On paper, the deadline trades gave the Sox arms for the postseason. That obviously did not work...at all. We just need a few more innings from a few guys, giving up minimal runs and hope the offense does enough. Regardless of the outcome, it's been an amazing season. If it was any other team but the damn Guardians, I wouldn't care as much. But I hope they go into Cleveland and play like they did in games 1 and 2. Then cover the visiting locker room in champagne and beer again.
  9. Today

  10. I was surprised they threw Williams in the 9th and Cade Smith looked hittable and may be gassed like Taylor. I think we can hit them. Might need to score a lot to win.
  11. We got'em just where we want'em
  12. Every other divisional series was won on the road, so why can't the Sox do it? They won twice in Cleveland, they can do it again.
  13. Wow. And I thought I'd read bad takes before.... congrats. This takes the cake.
  14. Getz will need to sign a couple reliable starters, Kay and Castillo can’t be in the rotation . Fedde and Sandlin should be used as spot starters or long relievers.
  15. Seemed like he went too horizontal instead of vertical. The TV broadcast said it was a great effort though. So…..
  16. They should sit BMont, horrible game last night with the Golden Sombrero and taking a bad route on a catchable fly ball.
  17. True. But this team being what it is, he’s either gonna put up, or he’s getting dropped. Too much at stake to play a guy just for money. If the Sox were losing 90 games, different story, who cares.
  18. Well. It’s been one hell of a ride. See if they can create some magic one more time.
  19. The Guardians have been given a huge lift from savvy player acquisitions, including: Right-handed hitting Joe Adell, who has added power and depth from the right side of the plate. Left-handed hitting Nathaniel Lowe, who adds a power bat from the left side, and excellent defense at first base. Switch-hitting catcher Patrick Bailey, who has been tremendous on defense, and has added some huge offense to the roster. Left-handed starter Foster Griffin, who has added a much needed arm to the starting rotation. NET -2.4 bWAR swing to the Guardians
  20. The guy has been overused, he and just about the rest of the staff is gassed.
  21. The Castillo move was obviously better off not done. But that’s why forcing outcomes to placate the public is a bad idea. Getz made a decision at the deadline to live another day for the longer term future rather than force things prematurely. I think he was smart. But it’s a personal preference depending on the goal. Getz had his eyes forward beyond 2026. Obviously if 2026 was your priority, the deadline was a failure.
  22. Getz kept his powder dry for the future of a younger team to be extended. Either you like that, or you don’t. There is no right answer. Only preferences. And look at the Cubs. Hoyer went all in for 2026. Nada. It’s unpredictable anyway.
  23. Prices higher for anticipated Skubal-Misiorowski clashAnticipation is high in Milwaukee. Per Gametime, as of Thursday, demand for tickets is higher for Game 1 on Sunday in Milwaukee than it was three days prior to the start of the series last season. The median ticket price for Sunday's game was $484 as of Thursday, compared to $345 the same time last year. The get-in price for Game 1 is $249, compared to $160 in 2025. Adding to the anticipation for Game 1 is an expected pitching matchup between Milwaukee's presumptive Cy Young winner, Jacob Misiorowski, and Dodgers ace Tarik Skubal, who won the AL Cy Young Award with the Detroit Tigers in 2024 and 2025. The median price for Game 2 (Monday) isn't as high, but it's still higher than last year ($357) at $426

  25. The Cleveland Guardians acquired two-time Gold Glove-winning catcher Patrick Bailey from the San Francisco Giants for the No. 29 pick in this year's MLB draft and left-handed pitching prospect Matt "Tugboat" Wilkinson. Bailey, 26, is considered one of the best defensive catchers in the major leagues, though his struggles with the bat and Daniel Susac's imminent return from the injured list prompted the Giants to seek a deal for Bailey this week. The Guardians stepped up with the No. 29 pick -- which they are allowed to trade because it is a competitive-balance round choice -- and the 23-year-old Wilkinson, whose large frame earned him the nickname "Tugboat" and whose strikeout rate has been elite since he entered professional baseball. Cleveland general manager Chris Antonetti said before Saturday night's game against the Minnesota Twins that the organization has had interest in Bailey for a long time, but the right opportunity didn't happen until this past week. Perfect timing SFG season crashing under new manager Vitello of Univ.Tennessee Wanted to open spot for Susac And small market Guards had an extra competitive balance pick to dangle
  26. Had Walker all last year when he was splitting with Charbonnet. Drove me insane. This year’s draft, Walker went one pick earlier, got Omarion Hampton instead.
