  2. I don’t think they have.
  3. Where's our new SoxTalk banner?!
  4. Can someone help answer this. I know the Sox are the only team to have never given out a nine-figure deal. K.C., Pittsburgh and the A's have done so in recent years but I can't remember who Sacramento gave it to. Was it Kurtz? Thanks!
  5. Schriff would stuff Bennetti in a locker!
  6. Seranthony might be a nice upgrade for Seattle, given that they've got Bazardo sucking it up for them.
  7. I’m on the bubble, he seems like a nice person, I want to like the guy but he just goes overboard at times and sometimes just doesn’t say the right things but I’ll take him over Benetti.
  8. Pretty much what I said after that. You know he's going to fit right in this ball club.
  9. Treat him like he was radioactive. No interest. Thoughts on watching replay. Chase turns two among the best. Pereira is one deceptively strong dude. Where is this explosion of talent coming from?
  10. John Schriffen is orders of magnitude dorkier than Jason Benetti
  11. The Nationals also did well to sell high on 2 guys having great years.
  12. Looks like an amazing guy.
  13. Who’s cutting onions?!
  14. Thank goodness for Ali Sanchez and Edgar Quero, I guess. Also a shoutout to Paul Blackburn.
  15. I don't believe any of this is about competition. It's all about making the game more marketable. Pitch clocks and all were about speeding it up to make it more consumable. And reining in the Dodgers is about making the postseason seem more attainable to more teams, thus increasing fan interest. The Dodgers could win the next 20 World Series and they wouldn't care. They just want to be able to walk around their own ballparks safely without being booed.
  16. Yea, it’s very very unlikely and is the right play… but it sure is fun to dream on landing an ace with control or the best closer in the game until 2030.
  17. I'm finally looking at that Luis Garcia trade....Yankees did very well.
  18. Because he’s on the IL for a hamstring strain.

  20. Yea, we’re certainly in agreement when it comes to Holmes… I find myself wasting time today dreaming of bigger fish.
  21. I actually agree with this, there should be limits on how long you can defer a contract down the line. I'm guessing this could be a point both sides could compromise on in negotiations. This seems reasonable to me.
  22. Yea, verbose outputs can be cumbersome to read - I generally parse through them and often times there is something insightful. I thought its analysis of Castillo relating to Banny was interesting.
  23. It may have been pointed out already but after Seattle stopped piggybacking Castillo in late May, his numbers in June were stellar- including starts against Cleveland and Detroit. In July he pitched to a quality start average, if you take out the start where he was shelled by the Dodgers. I remain hopeful the Sox can make some tweaks and we have a win on our hands.
