Well played.

He’s just an analyst for the MLB Network as far as I know.

Rich Hahn is still in baseball!?!????

Should have gotten both Peralta and Castillo, if they had convinced themselves that Luis was a must have. Always get more than you think you need when it comes to pitching. Hopefully lesson is learned because it’s a painful lesson. We should be going to the WS indeed.

I think one thing to watch out for if they end up implementing a salary floor in the CBA is how it could affect a team like the Guardians, who never spend money. If they're now forced to spend $170 million, their front office might actually make smart signings to bolster their roster even more. While I think a floor will make the Sox also spend more, we are far dumber with our money when we spend it.

Good luck cutting payroll and simultaneously competing with guys like Carlos Correa still rostered. And that farm system.

Guess it takes a repeat season...first. Like Caminero.

Yes, I did. Flew right over my head. Had the David Samson “2nd place is best” quotes in my head but not the White Flag trade. 🤣

I think you missed the joke based on an infamous Jerry quote. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Flag_Trade

I see what you did there.

1) I was surprised to see the Rays wearing their old Devil Rays uniforms. Their present uniforms are much better looking. 2) I'm glad to see the ghost runner at 2nd base in extra innings not being used in the MLB playoffs. If its not good enough to have it in the playoffs, why have it during the regular season? Every fan poll I've seen shows most fans don't like the ghost runner. 3) I read where there's speculation the White Sox might trade Sam Ant to the Yankees. I hope this is BS. 4) I've spent a lifetime going to White Sox games but the crowds at the playoffs against Cleveland were unlike anything i've experienced. The fans were really into the games. Its a shame the White Sox didn't win one of those games. 5) I read where Rays star Yandy Diaz is a free agent after this year. I wonder where he's going to sign?

Huh? Is this sarcasm? The Sox literally choked the division lead away and finished 1 game behind the Guardians. The Sox were completely mediocre post-trade deadline and played to a 1 game below .500 record. One decent starter acquisition instead of Castillo could have easily been the difference in winning the division and beating them in the playoffs after a dominating 2-0 lead after 2 road games in a 5 game series. The Sox pretty much choked twice against the Guardians this year.

My brain (what's left of it) said I should probably root for the Guardians, but my heart still hates them too much, so I'm glad the Rays won. ........go brewers!

Anyone who thinks we could have caught Cleveland is crazy.

Getz isn't going anywhere. I think we all know that. The team has gone from record setting losses to a playoff team under his regime. Plus he is a darling of JR. Getz being replaced ? Forgetaboutit.

There's only 30 of these jobs. The least attractive situations are entry level GM. The most attractive are chasing Dombrowski or Theo.

Miguel Vargas ranked 13th in offensive fWAR on Fangraphs. Did the Sox DFA him right before the article?

His deadline moves were truly horrid but do you dislike him that much?
