  1. Past hour

  2. I predict Joey Bart's bat alone will lift the Sox historic low combined offensive output at the catching position in an upward projection.
  3. Davis Martin going against Patrick Sandoval….lets keep the streak going boys!!
  4. I wonder what Drew Romo would have to do to get optioned back to Charlotte.
  5. Go down and get it together Q or at least back to 2025 levels.
  6. Since September first of last year (2025) Brenton Doyle is slashing 198/248/274 with a xwOBA of 235 with a -1.2 fWAR. That ranks him 76th of 77 players with 50+ PA's as an OF'er in wRC+ and it ranks him dead last in fWAR. The absolutely crazy thing is he's slashed that while carrying a .289 BABIP. In that period, he ranks 512 out of 518 players in fWAR, tied with Edgar Quero who the Sox just sent down because he's been so bad. Not sure I'm seeing that "crushing it" part.
  7. TankathonMLB Remaining Schedule Strength | TankathonShows the remaining strength of schedule for MLB teams based on the winning percentage of the opponents left on their schedule.Have improved to fifth easiest schedule remaining. CLE still the easiest of all.
  8. Another reason I’m not a fan of the trade. Doyle is already 28, the same age as Nolan Jones. If he was a bit younger, fine, perhaps he’s worth the shot. Not a fan of acquiring guys that should be in their prime and are coming off their worst years ever. Sadly, Jones’ one good year with the Rockies was much better offensively than Doyle’s.
  9. Lip, Q might be in the dog house, but I would say Lee is in the out house
  10. Why didnt the Sox just fix Nolan Jones? He also had one good year as a member of the rockies?
  11. That is an awesome outfield defense.
  12. Were ranked 30th by USA Today after the deadline. Orioles moved up 8 spots to 14.
  13. Royals come to mind as a team that can give him everyday at bats.
  14. I went with a C. They don't seem much better but they don't seem worse. Hopefully they can fix Doyle.
  15. Agree. Hate to say it, but I believe Quero is the least bad of the Romo/Quero duo.
  16. That makes sense. They just traded Adell, not like he was any sort of stud, but their outfield is really ugly now. Pereira could start for them today.
  17. Pereira ought to be an Angel this time next week. They got some holes.
  18. Why do you think would Pereira clear waivers? There has to be one bad team out there that has room for a 25 year old outfielder with power. I think Getz was trying to move Hays/Pereira and simply ran out of time or no one was that interested in trading for them.
  19. RF has been a black hole for years, thankfully Braden has resolved that problem. CF has an All Star, Peters might be running on fumes, but he had an awesome first half. LF has Sam patrolling and learning on the job. In the preseason I thoughts these 3 positions were the Sox biggest weakness and the catching with Teel & Q was rock solid. Let's see what the last 1/3 of the season brings.
  20. Today

  21. I think the plan was to hide Hays on the IL until this all washed out and they see what they have. They can send Doyle to AAA and bring up Hays for a run. If Pereria clears waivers he can go to AAA for the rest of the year.
  22. Colson,Acuna,Miedroth and Vargas around the horn looks good too. With Taylor closing.......Lock it down in the 9th.
  23. Lets keep in mind this guy has only played for the Rockies, a terrible organization. This will be the first time he has ever been in a playoff race. That alone could bump up his performance. I love the fact he is a great defensive outfielder.
  24. I think the fact that Periera wasn’t traded for literally anything before the deadline speaks about his value around the league. Im sure a bad team will give him a shot to stick the rest of the year, but fringe hitting corner OF’s that are out of options aren’t easy to keep on a contending team.
  25. Yankees made the same determination on their catchers as well. @FiresideYankees: "The Yankees have signed Christian Bethancourt to an MiLB deal, per @BryanHoch . The 34-year-old catcher had a 90 wRC+ and . 466 SLG% in 59 games for the Iowa Cubs (AAA) this season. At least we didn’t get M.Maldonado back out of retirement.
  26. I’m sort of shocked by the Pereira DFA, I thought his performance on Sunday was a good sign of the future for him. Forgotten in all of this is Austin Hays, what don’t the Sox like about him.
