  1. Past hour
  2. It would be kinda funny if we all find out this season that Getz is closer to KW than Hahn when it comes to treating the minors like moveable assets to upgrade the major league team
  3. DJ and Len were saying he's intentionally lowering his velocity to improve his control. He doesn't have the extension necessary to make a 94mph heater feel like 97-98.....a 94mph heater isn't difficult to hit. Not to mention, the velocity difference between his fb and offspeed become less, leading to far less swing and miss. If he can't K batters, he's not going to be successful in MLB. He needs to work on his control when throwing as hard as he's capable of throwing in a starting role.
  4. Missed yesterdays game but looks like it was for the best
  5. Pass. I don't want them giving up what it would take for Miller.
  6. They have gotten by the entire year with the worst catcher production in the entire league. I don’t think need for a catcher is going to submarine any plans, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they let it ride with who they have (even though I I don’t like that) and continue focus on starting pitching and relief
  7. What good is Miller when we have two SPs?
  8. I’m interested to see what happens to guys like Schultz, Hagen, Carlson, etc at this deadline. This is the first time Getz is calling other teams instead of taking calls. Will be fascinating to see how aggressive he is during a season that wasn’t expected to be a contending year.
  9. The Sox are stuck with Seranthony who is basically useless right now and taking up a valuable spot on the 26 man roster. Thankfully it looks like Hicks has figured it out. I see the need for a long reliever if Noah is going to stay up in Chicago. What about Peyton Pallette coming up and replacing Richards and giving the Sox long innings to save the bullpen from time to time.
  10. Quoting my all-time favorite band, Chicago, "Listen, children, all is not lost, all is not lost, oh no!" Games like last night are going to happen. It's over, it's done, it's flushed. Thanking God for this brand new day! You know darn well these Sox are ready to get after it! ☺️
  11. I keep thinking one of these years, the Sox will trade for Roki as Contreras 2.0
  12. That’s fair. If this hypothetically happened, they would definitely have to trade for a SP. Maybe Miller and then a rental SP like Gausman/Peralta/Ray and then throw money at a SP in free agency in the offseason.
  13. Today
  14. And his Prospect Savant page from earlier this year is insane... Crazy the disparity. What's the deal?
  15. If by some chance the Sox do acquire Mason Miller would Grant Taylor be moved to a starter role for the 2027 Season?
  16. Shane Smith's value has cratered. McDougal/Sandlin combo would be enticing, but Bonemer would be the #1 target. That and dumping Bogaerts/Cronenworth for 25-35 cents on the dollar.
  17. Y2Jimmy0 replied to BamaDoc's topic in FutureSox Board
As advertised. He's an awesome defender at shortstop.
  18. Maybe it would be another weird Padres/Preller trade. He loved Noah Schultz out of HS. I also don't see them totally selling. He'd try to get win now type guys in the deal. What if it were like Schultz, Shane Smith plus other stuff potentially? I'm also totally speculating and not a big fan of trading for relievers.

  20. Agreed. Unless you’re going to convert Miller back into a starter next year, I’m not giving up Bonemer for a closer.
  21. The larger question, if they had big eyes for the 2026 season, does this injury cause them to chill on the desperation level to land a pitcher. Maybe you feel like there’s just too many holes to fill at this point to go all in to win big. Maybe you’re just a little bit less ambitious this round.
  22. That is way too much to give up.
  23. If they pay him, it’s also difficult to see them paying both Vargas and Montgomery with all these kids in the pipeline. And then the choice is, which one is leaving, Mune’s best friend? Montgomery? Both?
  24. As of early July 2026, Bergolla has started his running progression and is throwing and hitting normally, signaling positive recovery progress Yahoo+2. This suggests he could begin a minor league rehab assignment soon and eventually rejoin the Charlotte Knights lineup Yahoo+1. While he has experienced some lingering soreness, the White Sox organization appears optimistic about his return soxmachine.com.
  25. Mason Miller Michael King 98% sure he can/will opt out for 2027 Fermin or Campusano (catchers) Cost? Bonemer, & Schultz OR Hagen Smith…maybe you luck out and get them down to two lesser prospects instead of those particular pitchers, like McDougal and Sandlin paired with Bonemer
  26. Do not trade Bonemer for Mason Miller.
