  3. Só where are you projecting him to finish the season? Taking more and more time from Antonacci against LHP or perhaps Meidroth? Then Vargas/Mune takes Benintendi DH at bats away, right, with Colson at 3B? Or CF at bats from Peters? What about Grichuk?

  6. Still, -0.3 fWAR isn’t exactly easy to accomplish for any middle of the field player.

  12. I've been there. like you it was over 20 years ago. It had and probably still has an artificial surface. I personally prefer Grass.
  13. Shockingly, new Will Ferrell series “The Hawk” getting absolutely savaged by critics.
  14. f*** yeah, he is. He is going from a state champ with BR which hasn’t happened for how many years? My son is going to dominate the OL for St. Norbert’s and become yet another defender of our rights, regardless of what area he chooses.
  15. f*** yeah, he is. Who wouldn’t be excited to move to a new location, all paid by your parents, and all you have to do is play a fun game called football (or whatever other sport) and you get to enjoy and pass some classes! My 6’2”, 275 pound son spent his past 3 years absolutely owning much bigger and overrated Mount Carmel bitches that are now getting into college on scholarships. Watch the tape, cuz I did. My son owned them all. I hope other dad’s share some more recent experiences with their kids getting recruited by colleges. It’s such an interesting experience, that could potentially dictate your kids’ career going forward as well.
  16. “July 17 - Fox Sports continued a record-breaking week in TV soccer viewership when Argentina's narrow victory over England on Wednesday was the most-watched World Cup semifinal in English-language history, Variety ‌reported. Argentina's 2-1 win averaged 15.063 million viewers on Fox, crushing the mark set just one day earlier when Spain shut out France 2-0 in Tuesday's semifinal and averaged 11.462 million viewers. Argentina and superstar Lionel Messi, facing off in Atlanta against England and its star striker Harry Kane, peaked with 22.177 million viewers from 4:45-5 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Fox averaged 6.531 million viewers for the 2022 World Cup semifinals. The France-Morocco semifinal in December 2022 in Qatar drew 6.595 million viewers on Fox, the record for English-language broadcasts of World Cup semifinals until this week. Radio Times reported that England's match Wednesday was the most-watched live ‌TV broadcast in the United Kingdom in 2026. The broadcast peaked at 24 million viewers -- 85% of all TV viewing at the time -- and averaged 22.1 million on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.” https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/argentina-england-world-cup-ratings-15-million-fox-1236813261/
  17. “But baseball? Too many regular-season broadcasts feel like they are fulfilling a contractual obligation. Game 94 isn’t Game 7. But television doesn’t have to treat it like Game 94, either. Everything doesn’t need to be louder or faster. Everything certainly does not need another graphic flying across the screen. There were things the World Cup didn’t do perfectly. Afternoon kickoff times weren’t ideal for North American viewers. FIFA’s expanded tournament occasionally felt like someone looked at a successful idea and said, “You know what this needs? Thirty-two more games.” Sports commissioners are remarkably consistent that way. But the television product? American broadcast executives should have been taking notes. Not because soccer is somehow superior. Because great television is great television. The World Cup reminded us that the biggest moments do not need to be manufactured. They need to be recognized. That’s a lesson every producer, director, and announcer should remember before the NFL season begins. Sometimes the best television isn’t created in the production truck. It’s already happening on the field. The smartest thing everyone can do is trust it.”

  21. Many Opening Days have been rough weather wise. I think this was April 8, 2016. I took this shot from the RF concourse. A retractable roof stadium, and the game gets played like it should be, in reasonable conditions for fans and players. But I have to say, when we have good Spring weather, tailgating and watching the Opener is one of life's great joys for a Sox fan. Photo AlbumOnline Photo Album

  25. The 2005 club could beat you with a blast a bloop or a bunt. They were top five in the league if I remember right in home runs, sacrifice flies, sacrifice bunts, infield hits and stolen bases. They were very well rounded offensively.
  26. During the 94/95 labor impasse players weren't paid but it was negotiated as part of the final settlement that they would be credited with service time for the games missed. That's how the Sox lost Alex Fernandez. The organization didn't think he'd be a free agent for another year but with the service time given for the games missed he qualified went to Florida and helped them win a World series.
