Always take the experience.

Dually noted, and planned for the day of the next loss.

God I hate you so much.

I think it might be longer, because I would bet on soil remediation, etc, type of work being necessary before they really starting working.

Let's say the sox break ground a year later in May 2028 that would open the stadium in 2031 by this timeline.

Which goes to the basic type of timeline I broke down a few days ago. It's going to be a while before the Sox have a new stadium. It will almost certainly be after the lease is up at the current spot.

It is better for people to think you a fool, than you open your mouth and remove all doubt.

In an oddway, this team being in panic mode for the last 6 weeks to 2 months of the season seems to be paying off as they didn't need to adjust to playoff baseball, they were playing it for a while. It will be interesting to see when they finally hit a superior team, instead of another mediocre one, how that plays out.

IIRC, they had a deal essentially done, and that's when Jose caved on the extension to stay in CLE>

Funny how he is being portrayed in the article. @fathom called it out immediately in the game thread. The only surprise was the announcers not calling it out. It was plain as day during the broadcast.

Cleveland has a terrible ownership group. They have destroyed goodwill towards baseball in that city.

YEAH BUDDY.

Until he earns generational wealth for his one true love — his dogs.

He'd be real good at that actually.

In 2005 me and my father went and saw Rolling Stones at soldier field, and it was an amazing show, even moreso now that he is deceased. Sharing those moments is important

It's gonna be awkward when they need to ask Schriff back to MC the parade speeches.

I tried catching all the old country guys if they came through town. Johnny Paycheck at some Lincoln Ave. dive bar when he just got out of prison was one of my faves. David Allen Coe at Double Door.

I think this is right, but worry about them getting quite a bit of at bats against the same guys. Hope our bats arrive big time wednesday.

It says Chris Garagiola is expected to be a candidate to replace him, but maybe they dumped Berthiaume because they heard Schriffen is on the market and they want to nab him before someone else does.

They have put together a nice core of Bazzana and DeLauter, Angel Martinez looks league average-y, then they have this Ralphy Velazquez, 1st rounder, slugging 1B at AAA. And just as I thought Kwan was having a shitty year, dude wakes up and posts 3.8 fWAR. I know I catch hell for being "pro-Getz" and always looking for the sunny side of the street, but Cleveland's a solid team. We just seem to have a plan for how to attack them on both offense and defense with some surprises. Becoming really patient is like Rocky Balboa becoming a right-handed boxer between fights. Funny how GuardsTwitter is now wondering if Vogt is going to copy the Sox by throwing Cam Smith for multiple innings or redoing his lineup.

Dave is not smart

My uncle got them for me thankfully. Got them for his 2 Godsons haha Lucky for us, he never had his own kids

No way, that’s bucket list stuff. When I was in college I was (and still am) a huge fan of the band Hum. They came to Carbondale but I was only 18 still and couldn’t get into the bar to watch the show, but said to myself hey these guys are from Champaign, they will be back. well, they never came back lol. Fortunately, almost 30 years later I saw them at the Aragon this past May Always go to the show if you can!

The hamate bone injury is clearly limiting him. It affected Beni for a year and a half after he signed with us. He didn't get any semblance of power until the 2nd half of 2024. He got injured at the end of 2022. I can see the injury limiting Ramirez for part of next year too. By the time he's fully over it, he's probably gonna be 36.
