  1. Past hour

  2. Real question is what’s Zach Remillard up to? I like to think he’s now a New Orleans based chef specializing in remoulade sauces.
  3. You are a clown.
  4. Never underestimate someone else’s ability to not update a password or to just leave old security measures in place out of laziness lol.
  5. Braden is in his first year and is learning. Same with Antonacci and other young players like Chase. You add nothing by stating the obvious.
  6. Meidroth is also one sexy MF. I mean look at that pic above. My wife absolutely despises the White Sox, but even she asked if she switch her hall pass to Chase after seeing him in person at Fenway. Keep him around and watch attendance skyrocket as the ladies come in droves.
  7. Yeah, that’s why my son couldn’t unlock newer car doors with the Flipper Zero. Because they went to rolling code key fobs in the mid 1990’s.
  8. I can't find any info on if pitchcom uses rolling codes or not, I would assume it does. however with AI tools, and people building their own portable "cyber deck" (basically a tiny Linux powered laptop with the hardware capable of RF scanning, people have been using these to access flock cameras), I'm not sold on pitchcom being unhackable at all
  9. Colson is quite studdly against LP, .270/352/884 with a .532 slug
  10. Flipper Zero. Bought one for my son. Fun times…
  11. That too. Also, with every move being for a non-rental it seems like these deadline acquisitions were pretty much half of Getz’s work for next offseason.
  12. I'm not sure this conversation shouldn't include Colson. Has he cemented himself as an everyday player this season? His second half has been pretty putrid while Sam and Chase continue to be solid contributors.
  13. To me it just means that despite attendance being up 25%, we still aren't willing to spend money and would rather deal prospects instead.
  14. I will never attain that level of Nostradamusness.
  15. This is first level easy boss stuff and you know it
  16. I guess I just don’t think he should get credit for dumping a bad contract that he himself gave out. If it was someone like Benintendi that Getz managed to dump, then he should get the credit because he was technically a Hahn signing.
  17. Especially if you have the overwealming need to tell everyone you were right.
  18. I don't know if they are or aren't but I wanna say this, as someone who worked many years in IT Every team uses pitchcom, which is a simple device that uses UHF to send likely encrypted signals from the catcher to the pitcher. There's a device you can buy online, it's been around for years, it's called the flipper zero. it can intercept any radio signal, such as 2.4ghz RF, Bluetooth, Wifi, UHF(with an extra module) , encrypted or unencrypted etc and store each signal as it's own profile. people use these to steal your key fob frequencies, among other things. you could save each pitchcom input from the catcher as it's own "pitch profile", and just find out which signal corresponds to what pitch It would be insanely easy for someone on the Red Sox (or any team) to have someone in the stands relaying signals to each batter immediately after intercepting the pitchcom information from the catcher. once I first found out about pitchcom, flipper zero was the first thing I thought about and how teams could steal signs with it digitally
  19. I mean it is functional short hand for "costs over and above what we already paid" and not for Castillo only makes X.
  20. I never make game threads or grade trades, just so I can say I told you so later. It’s a sound strategy and something only a supervillain like me could think of.
  21. Yes, I understand that. But just because he managed to dump Seranthony doesn’t mean Castillo only costs $12-13 million.
  22. Sadly this is why this topic—which would have been treated as totally ridiculous conspiracy theorizing in the pre-Astros era—is something you have to consider. MLB incentivized cheating with its flaccid response to the Astros scandal. I’m surprised we haven’t seen it more, and I sadly will never dismiss cheating allegations out of hand again.
  23. I just don’t get it with Romo. There HAS to be better options.
  24. After they win the World Series. And of course, they will be allowed to retain the title and teams will be punished for any perceived retaliation.
  25. Was wondering if @WhiteSox2023 would make this GameThread but he is clearly chicken
