The injuries to Teel and the regression of Quero shows how important it is to draft and develop. Before the WBC the Sox catching was one of their strengths but that has quickly evaporated.

Hagen would literally s%*# himself on the mound after walking 4 straight batters if the Sox called him up right now.

But he's not really a high leverage pitcher with his modest K rates. Hicks and Taylor throw 99 with high K rates - that's for leverage.

I would say that now Seranthony should be relegated to mop up duty,a very expensive mop up pitcher though.

Hudson has extreme reverse splits, and he was brought in because of the leverage not the inning. It just didn’t work out.
