  1. Past hour

  2. Oh yeah I don't care at all. He just seemed like a good, fiery guy last year. Had no idea he was a goofball.
  3. Sam sitting a 3rd straight game. Is he being punished for his poor route in the outfield against CLE.
  4. Have you been in a coma since 2019?
  5. I think you got those two things backwards.
  6. he can be as weird as he wants if he keeps up a 2.50 era in 101 IP.
  7. But that’s because the Sox are smart, not cheap. 🤣
  8. There was a write up earlier this year where essentially if he put up no more WAR from the rest of this contract, he has already paid off this contract with the value he has given them over the first half of it.
  9. Did we know he was this weird last year?
  10. The irony is the Sox have done each once in the almost 50 year Jerry Reindsdorf era. Albert Belle and 2005.
  11. Since when? Going back 10 years (11 seasons) the Sox look like they have been higher than Detroit 4 times (20/21 and 23/24, and have the top 3 highest individual season between the two teams. This past year alone Detroit is $120 million higher. Detroit has had a payroll over 100 million dollars MORE than the Sox twice during that span, including this season of about $120 million greater, and $70 million greaters in 25, under "this administration"
  12. When the ChiSox Bar and Grill opened they tried keeping it open year around. After a couple of months of no customers they closed down. It remains open only on game days.
  13. JR was never going to develop the area around the park. Keep in mind most of the investors were never thrilled about having the stadium built at the present location. They thought the franchise would always play second fiddle to the Cubs at the present location. Eddie Einhorn who wanted to move the team to Florida sold most of his shares of the White Sox to JR shortly after the present stadium deal was finalized. He thought it was impossible to compete against the Cubs at the present location. He didn't like being number 2 in the city. So he sold his shares and left the scene.
  14. I honestly couldn't care less about Boston Smith. He's a nice story, but I don't envision him being anything more than a role player. He was no loss - your farm system should be developing these types of players (and trading them) all the time. I'm only looking at it from each of their level of production for the Sox.
  15. Lmao this is his 8th season as a Padre and by far his worst(even though he is .2WAR away from replacement level), and I don’t think they would change signing him considering how good he has been for them
  16. They updated this since I last posted it. This link has some early renderings of the proposed facility building: https://mwmaintenancefacility.com/viewer.html?d=trainshed-renderings&y=1084 It doesn’t seem too obtrusive.
  17. I’d argue that Boston Smith is no Tatis Jr.
  18. But ultimately, the Sox didn’t sign either of them. I can say I had an offer out to Ohtani, but we just didn’t manage to sign him. Big fucking deal. Have a cookie. Your awful takes are what’s always wrong.
  19. Hagen Smith has been pleasant surprise.
  20. I'd argue it's worse. At least Shields could give you 5+
  21. Manny Machado hitting in the .230's.
  22. Looking at ticketmaster there are alot of unsold seats for all of the games in the upper deck.
  23. Still haven’t signed anyone to a 20 million a year contract or 100 million total salary.
