  1. Past hour
  2. I endorse the White Sox returning to the 90s.
  3. F Jerry. I care about my favorite team trying to win games. In some way shape or form, most of us are good human beings and do right by others. Jerry was/is in a situation where he could take the financial responsibility of owning a team. There is a bigger responsibility when you own a Major League sports team, that responsibility is to the people who come watch your product, buy materials related to your product. They are investing in your product and helping you make money. He has not reciprocated that responsibility and for the most part SHAAT on those people. SO again, F JERRY
  4. If Lowe goes to the Pirates in this huge trade, it could be one less suitor for Murakami
  5. Let’s hope so because if any club would have meaningful dollars laying around, it’s probably the White Sox.
  6. I don't doubt for a minute the JR is a very good human being. I also believe he was a good owner up until the last two decades. Those of us who are old enough to remember when the Sox had to play fireworks noise over the PA after a home run, because they couldn't afford fireworks, or when every single free agent was guaranteed to leave, or when we hired a player manager to save a salary, or the constant threats of moving to Milwaukee, Seattle, or wherever, should recognize that JR took a franchise constantly on the brink of bankruptcy and solidified it financially. He was also aggressive about signing top free agents (Fisk, Bannister as examples) and seemed committed to at least attempting to win. The Sox were, at one time consistently competitive. Not sure what caused the change in the last couple of decades. Complacency with a WS trophy? Financial issues? Complacency with old age?
  7. Today
  8. You keep bringing up soil. What exactly are you trying to say then by bringing it up, if you point isn't that it can't be built on? Obviously I am leaving out the race based stuff you keep throwing out there, and sticking to things that are apt here.
  9. It is impossible to hold a sensible conversation with you because it appears that you are too anxious to argue than to discuss. Further, your points are predicated on half-truths which can be a deceptive form of argument. In short, you state facts to support your position (that anything can be built on any soil) but that has NOTHING to do with the points I made in my post. Anyway, I do not want to argue with you on this and accept your points so let's leave it at that.
  10. I, too, don’t care about pushing 2 of Davis Martin, Sean Burke, Jonathan Cannon out of rotation. The innings will be there anyway since there will be injuries, trades of said veteran starters if they’re decent, etc.
  11. Was posted about in another thread, but the new Ken Burns American Revolution series was vintage Burns work. Well work the time to put into it and watch it.
  12. Two of Littel Buehler Lorenzen wouldn't be bad imo
  13. Dodgers and Red Sox gave up on him but he is 30 so maybe a 1 Year deal would work. But a multi year would have to be a buy 1 get 1 free...................
  14. The last thing this franchise is worried about is the 40. A large portion of it would clear with no issue.
  15. Including the Knights, Barons and Dash.
  16. Silver Lake is also very close to the Ellisons. Essentially, Skydance/Paramount is going to control TikTok.
  17. Along with Ben Cowles, Derek Hill, and Everson Pereira. Sox are where DFAs go to languish. Roster is at 39 now, so it does not appear they are on the cusp of a FA frenzy. Although I'm pretty sure some of those guys could make it through waivers.
  18. Breaking Bad took half a season to get going.
