Or Mahle... https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/junior-caminero-trade-revisited-rays-090001644.html Funny thing is that Tobias Meyers would later go on to be released by Sox from AAA and Meyers then went on to help the small market Brewers in 2024 postseason. But Cleveland would have had a near dynasty with Caminero...

Your Dad was Moises Alou?

Peralta was definitely the starter to acquire.

Happy to watch Jose Ramirez botch a routine grounder with 2 outs, leading to 3 runs scoring. Suck it!

Maybe they give Vasil the Hagen role? I dunno, can you really expect more than 500 innings combined between Smith, Taylor, Kay? I doubt it. We need someone to eat some innings. Maybe Castillo will pull a miracle and give us 160-170. They aren't going to let his option vest over that. We really need to sign a proven #2 or 3 starter that can project for 180ip around a 3.8 ERA.

Yeah Taylor worries me

Absolutely will happen. More than the innings totals, is the heavy loads in a short period of time and short rests.

Tied for 2nd to last is a big improvement...

Probably is the came and finished way too early...

My father used to say, "Wish in one hand, piss in the other...see which fills up first." No way the Sox even attempt to sign those guys.

Skubal? Not a chance in hell. King is even probably a long shot.

Sox need to sign Skubal or King. Anything less is a failure.

Turning 37 and his fWAR has declined since his peak four seasons ago. On paper, this year's fWAR is worth around $25 million, but think he gets $30/35 million per year on a 2-3 year deal. That's where things get complicated. Properly evaluating Trevor Mahle, for example.

throw money at King, and Rasmussen if he doesn't get his option picked up

Memo to the next owner.

Do any of you foresee bullpen arms being tired for next season based on their usage this year? I am assuming we miss a couple months next year so that might not be an issue, but in the case of a full season?

I am running into an issue where Soxtalk doesnt open unless im on a vpn. Posting screenshots from my phone, but it also happens on my pc. Tried different browsers, same issue. Chrome, Safari, Edge

I honestly thought Droth was a star wars character for a second. Meidroth is a defensive downgrade over Colson at Short in my opinion.

Him or Sonny Gray are the two free agents I want the most.

Davidson straight stealing year 343 of rebuild.

This is exactly what happened in 1994-1995.

The special advisor thing isn't that big of a deal. To me it's more marketing than anything legit.

What the f*** does a senior advisor actually do? Besides just get paid to hang out. Can I be a senior advisor, as a White Sox fan? In all seriousness, I know that the Assistant GM who runs the R&D department used to work for the Rays front office. I think they are basing themselves off the Rays. It's much better then it used to be.

Dude punched a teammate over fantasy football. He's more than grouchy or unlikeable.
