Sounds like a plan to me, Perez down, Hays up and Pereira stays on rehab for now.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Let’s get this thread back on track. The Sox can’t roster all three of Grichuk, Hays, & Pereira. Everson is the only one controllable beyond this year and who can play CF…ideally you keep him so you don’t have to find someone to fill this role next year. That means you got to move one of Hays or Grichuk and it would be hard to move the latter after what he’s done. Both Austin & Pereira are at AAA in rehab stints. I think there is a real possibility that we call up Hays before the Astros series and try to showcase him a bit. We aren’t going to get a ton, but RH bats are in demand right now and he was a $6M signing this past offseason with a strong track against LHP. Maybe he nets you something that can help offset the cost of a rental catcher. Meanwhile, Everson can extend his rehab assignment through the trade deadline. I think they keep him down and use this as an opportunity to get him regular playing time while they work through the major league roster crunch. He comes up post deadline and returns to his previous role.

We have zero payroll commitments and a team of cost controllable player. Stop with this insanity. And we have five more years of control of Peters…there is zero reason to worry about extending him.

Antonacci and Acuna have been among the worst defenders in terms of OAA…despite being among the fastest players on the team. Braden Montgomery is becoming a weapon on the basepaths(outside of an occasional mistake). He's got his dad's running back legs...strong with a burst when a hole opens up . Sneaky fast guys like vargas, colston, Braden,Sammy, tristan, acuna help play small ball.

7/22 Sox @ Rangers 7:05PM CT
The next 16 games are huge and tough, we play the Astros for 3, Yankees for 4, Rays for 3, Red Sox for 3 and Guards for 3. If we can still be 7-8 games over after this spell I think we will make the playoffs, 2 of the keys are Mune and Colson, they need to start hitting homers again, I know Colson is streaky but he’s really in a funk right now. Whoever helped him last year when they sent him to Arizona in the middle of the season should be working with him now. The pitching except for Tuesday has been pretty good, the bullpen has really stepped it up, somehow we have to find another starter and a serviceable catcher. I’m not counting on Teel, they are saying up to 8 weeks before he’s back and with a rehab stint the season is just about over, I think they should shut the guy down and let him have the whole off-season to be 100% ready for 2027.
