Danks Keuchel Lynn eviscerated the notion of long term deals for pitchers…not that they ever tried signing a true star, even Tanaka with NY was a step below that. Ofc Z.Wheeler FA year, too.

Josh Rojas RBI single lol. 3-3. Troy Melton pitching like a Cy candidate these days.

Looks like light hitting Outman trying to block Skubal trade. Three run homer to put Detroit up late… Surely Josh Rojas will save KC with Witt out. Detroit would pull to 49-54 with Houston Balt Minnesota and Seattle or Texas ahead. Would be 4 gb for WC, 6 for Central. All signs are Minnesota being willing to sell anyone but Buxton (can refuse any trade) and the young core players…

Boston Smith
Sox have two other obscure catchers who are hitting well: James Taussig and Kaleb Freeman. Like Boston, they are both 23, so not young. But they have both been really good. I doubt they are prospects beyond hitting in A ball, but it may be a good omen for the Sox hitter development program.

Yeah the trade worked out well. The extension did not.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
KC already has a nice newer basketball facility. Not sure enough of a population base for most of the mega concerts. Also depends how far out in Johnson County or Wyandotte, where the KS Speedway and current major concert venue are located. Then there’s also Starlight and Midland theatres.

Ray is almost 35 and JR will pay him $8.33 million for two months of pedestrian work, especially moving over from a homer-preventing stadium to GRF? And give away 2-3 prospects to boot?

And then him Kelly Graveman destroyed the clubhouse…along with Grandal TÁ Moncada, etc.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I’m hoping for one. Rain/winter conditions in the early season suuucks. And although lot of the existing retractable roof stadiums are kinda ugly, the benefits of having one would be unreal. No delayed/bad weather games ever again can only help convince people to show up. This whole project is already super ambitious, but if Ishbia can crack the code on a beautiful stadium with a retractable roof and a skyline view, I think that would solidify the new stadium as an instant classic. It also helps that the technology/engineering surrounding ETFE roofs seems to only be getting better at providing natural light and great views, but we’ll see what happens.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I disagree with that. I think the Dunning for Lynn trade worked for the Sox. Lynn was a key part in 2021 and pretty good in 2022 too. He did what they hoped he would do when they acquired him.- Vibes are so high
I think he had it under control until that lady came in "to help". She didn't even really do anything, just got in his head. Who among us hasn't had the nacho sombrero yips? What a bad idea for a promotion though. I'm imagining far drunker people trying to wrangle this thing and the mess the crew has to clean up afterward.- Official 2026 MLB Draft Thread - Picks & Discussion

When did their rehabs start? Maybe one will come back tomorrow.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
thats a huge overpay. I don't see the Sox trading sandlin or any top 10 prospects for a mediocre rental who's being paid like an ace I would hope the Sox would just say they'll pick up the rest of his salary and offer them one or two in the 15-20 range- Official 2026 MLB Draft Thread - Picks & Discussion

They need to find a way for him to get an MLB start or two before the deadline, 40 man be damned- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
To me it's asset management over not just this season but the next few. Who are you getting that's going to give you say, 30% better production than what we have at the 4th or 5th starter spot not just this year but the next couple as well? Adams could be that guy himself, maybe not 30% better, but say 20%. The Dane Dunning trade come to mind, that one didn't really come back to bite us as he got hurt again, but it also wasn't a good trade by process or by results was just mediocre.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I don’t see Sandlin going for a rental SP of that caliber and definitely not with two other decent prospects.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
If you think he can be a mid rotation guy, you don’t trade him for two months of an ok rental catcher. If his ceiling is just a back of the rotation type, then the calculus changes. To me, it just comes down to his newfound velocity and how that changes things for him.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I find it hard to believe Getz would trade Sandlin after what the Sox did to get him. That said, I could see making that trade except for the fact that Ray’s stuff has ticked way down and he doesn’t throw enough strikes. I would be afraid to take him out of that park. Trade those three for someone slightly better? - Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
