  2. Good luck every O-Line in the NFL.
  3. The stars at night Are big and bright Castillo gets it done in Texas.
  4. 3 out of 4 would be a tall order in Houston but it would give the season series edge to the Sox. Having the tie breaker against the Astros in their back pocket would be nice. Burke, Kay, Martin, and Castillo, get it done boys!
  5. And this one was on the road, I will take it
  6. lol. For some reason I thought it was a 4 game set. Ya I think we sweep. I don't think we officially clinch in Cleveland but I think we stick the knife into their divisional hopes pretty deep.
  7. If there is no land for the new stadium what happens after that? The new owner doesn't want to stay at the present location.
  8. Seems like the hot ass sun will make it hot as ass in the stadium during 90% of the season?
  9. I hope we win three. That would be a sweep. 😁
  10. Honestly think we'll take 3 of 4 from Cleveland. We seem to get really amped when we get the chance to stick the knife in divisional foes.

    Who hasn’t?
  12. Overall a good weekend. Got three games off the schedule and picked up a game for the division lead.
  13. Seems like a very Preller thing to do.
  14. I didn't know there was an error. I saw that Matsui got out of it in the 10th and that they had a lead in extras. I just thought the Rays kept hitting.
  15. That wasn't even the end. Padres then had an Extras lead 4-3 after Matsui somehow survived the 9th and managed to blow that as well with a Bogaerts fieldng error at SS.

  17. TankathonMLB Remaining Schedule Strength | TankathonShows the remaining strength of schedule for MLB teams based on the winning percentage of the opponents left on their schedule. As if the Dodgers needed any help down the stretch to get hot again. CLE no longer has the remaining schedule advantage.
  18. Gotta make this one Hurricane proof somehow
  19. A transparent roof, in Florida? Seems... I dunno.
  20. If you think our game sucked today, there's always a worse way to lose.
  21. I’m not sure if the residents can prevent the railyard from moving, but if that land isn’t opened up, then there’ll be no land for a stadium. Ishbia’s whole plan hinges on relocating Amtrak’s facilities and rolling stock.
  22. "The Sox pretty much have a playoff spot sewn up with other pitchers who have been as bad as Castillo's 4 of 5 starts. So he has about another 5 starts to right the ship." Serviceable WE quote. Surely, the networks will run this in their promotional pieces for when the Sox face Houston or WC #3 in the ALDS. 15.333 ip 16 er four other "serviceable" Castillo starts 9.39 ERA "You're likeable enough, HRC."
  23. Yep, and here’s where you start to veer off course as usual because even you are realizing that your argument is weak. I’m not taking a victory lap over the Shields trade. Meanwhile, you are arguing that it wasn’t that bad because he ate some innings in the final season of his career before being forced into retirement. 🤣
  24. Vargas was bad when he was first acquired, but he was at least still young with several years of control. I’m still not sure what this has to do with Castillo being Shields v2.0. Shields and Castillo were both old and bad when acquired. There’s a difference. The Vargas trade and the trades for Shields and Castillo are not in anyway similar. Regarding your last paragraph, your comments make the trade and Getz look even worse if he acquired a starting pitcher that he didn’t think could help the team for the playoff stretch.
  25. The Sox finish August 14-13. They've been a model of consistency going back to May. They've finished every month 1 game above .500 since. Unfortunately, it will be impossible for them to do that in September given that they play an even number of games (26). The Sox have been .500 outside the month of May, where they went 18-10. .500 the rest of the way gets them to 85 wins. Edit: I just realized that September 1st is Tuesday and the Sox play Monday. But I think the general point of this post still stands.
  26. A couple of the local Chicago TV stations have showed how the citizens of Bridgeport and the Alderman are gathering to oppose the proposed Amtrak railyard in Bridgeport. If the railyard is not moved how would that affect the new baseball stadium in the South Loop? I can't believe the city would oppose the new railyard in Bridgeport. We'll have to wait and see how this plays out.
