Strike quick....need starting pitching badly.- What's next?...
I’m good with that- 2027 Offense
$14.5 million for a -0.1 fWAR. He’s going nowhere.Yesterday
- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
For 4 years and $120 million?- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
Michael King thinking of opting out of his contract.....go get him.- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
The opposite theory is the big spenders can load up for one month and get those deals grandfathered in… Sato will get the most $$$ after Skubal. Só watch his case, in particular…the agent will want to get it done in November if they can hit $200 million/+posting fee.- 2027 Offense
Beni had a tough time. He gone. No one is going to trade for him either.- What's next?...
They were initially STROKIN’ but unfortunately they never got to finish.- Fall/Winter Ball 2026
Bonemer is destroying AFL pitching. First HR today, OPS is over 1100. I'd guess he starts in AAA next year and they hope he's ready by July.- What's next?...
The White Sox will be Coming, Trs La, Tra La!!!!- What's next?...
He is confrontational and erratic at times.- What's next?...
I don't really understand why people dislike Pham so much. He seems intelligent and outspoken which is harmless and entertaining. I thought signing him was pointless, but the 'reputation' is unwarranted. They ostensibly brought him back because they like him and the 'culture' of this team is 100000 times better than it was a couple years ago.- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
I believe anything is possible, a lot will depend on what the MLBPA want in return. Which leads to the "then I guess there will not be baseball in 2027" statements from both sides.- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
If there is a true penalty for not hitting the floor those bottom contracts will inflate. It seems possible the average salary may not shift much, with the bottom earning more and the top less.- Our Pope
They said they got it early and the prognosis is very good.- Let's look at the bright side - the Sox are going to have an absolute STAR in Caleb Bonemer
Given our propensity to rush guys to the MLB roster with disastrous results, I can wait. But I agree, they will be special.- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
Not the floor, the ceiling. If the top teams send out, the top of the market crashes, pushing everything else down.- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
Anything can happen but I have a hard time seeing the MLBPA agree to any type of cap or floor. it's simply not in their DNA. This gets resolved I think with some smaller concessions on their part and the owners fracturing as they always do.- 2026 NFL thread
MAYBE when they got here, but I promise you they quickly learned.- Upcoming Free Agent Signing + Labor Contract Uncertainty
Interesting you think the floor will cause a crash. I am thinking it raises the journeymen while the cap hurts the biggest contracts. I can't imagine the 5 year proposal being implemented, but that would be really interesting to contracts. This may be the first contract negotiations I will actually follow. I do not think a floor will help competitive balance, I just see more Leury Garcia contracts. Guys getting 3/$16 mil instead of 2/$6 mil. You will be correct if history repeats itself. The "Luxury Tax" era showed slower growth. I am certain that is one of the factors the union is considering. Maybe the Sox can steal a free agent or two that they normally would not be competitive with.- What's next?...
"The hell you will!" JR, probably- What's next?...
Catch up to them by hiring away the best and brightest. Pay them whatever they want but get them over here.- 2026 NFL thread
Eh... if it was Dick Butkus I would agree with you. But Ditka was more of a global figure. I bet they probably didn't know he played (and revolutionized) TE, but I'd bet the house they all know him as a coach. That '85 Bears team is talked about way too much in nauseum to not know who he is. - The Official Scoreboard watching thread
