Phillies last two weeks of the season have been insane Atlanta, Milwaukee and now Tampa The cubs catching the mets, phillies, and padres all at the right time and now Boston is insane luck. They also had 2 10 game winning streaks and a 10 game losing streak.

Their pitching is very good. Their offense could be bad as Cleveland

Its sure been quiet about the new Bears Stadium.

TV can have a bigger audience, but it's a different experience for the play-by-play announcers. TV play-by-play is more of a multimedia hosting gig now, with all the graphics, dugout interviews, pre-taped roll-ins, musical highlight vignettes, etc. There's a production team that's calling the shots and deciding when all those elements appear and interrupt the live action. Some play-by-play guys prefer the "pure" aspect of the radio broadcast, where it's just them and their partner describing the action.

It probably didn't help that while the Bears are doing this dance around the duplo lego set of a stadium deal, Ishbia just waltzed in a build a 4000 piece deal involving multiple private and public entities to open up his deal like it was his life.

It just amazes me that we got through this season with all but basically 2 AL teams being somewhere between garbage and mediocre at best. Usually even if it a slow start, some teams break out. It's pretty much Tampa, NYY, and Springfield's Tire Fire.

Letdown danger today. We really need to take this one to start the sweep. A little worried that the whole mood around the organization is a little too satisfied. Yeah, it's modern day vote counting. You can be strategically "against" something if the rest of its outcome is assured. I was mildly surprised to see the Unions come out very vocally for this project. That might actually make opposition harder, as it will allow someone to run against these guys in the future for being anti-union.
