  2. It's August 10th with 45 games left to play, and you've already seen more White Sox offense this year than the entirety of the 2024 season: 2024 (162 games): 507 runs scored 133 HRs 395 walks 2026 (117 games): 557 runs scored 152 HRs 401 walks
  3. But seeing recovery times this season, I'd say Vasil isn't really an option to start until 2028.
  4. Smith's delivery looks even more pronounced than it was in college. Seems like it would be hard to throw strikes, much less hold pinpoint command..
  5. Four years ago, our home-run leader was Andrew Vaughn with 17 home runs. But under Frank "f*** the home run hit 300" Menechino, we did manage to lead the league in batting average.
  6. I don’t care what they do in their private life…but how did he forget how to pull the ball in the air?
  7. John Salley once said that the only teammate he ever had that he would confidently say did not cheat on their wife was Mark Price.
  8. I think the athletes of yesteryear would have a dramatically different public opinion of them if we were able to see everything they did on TikTok & Instagram
  9. Urchin is a super unique taste. I try not to judge when people have a pallette that isn’t into slimy things, urchin is definitely in that group lol. Eel is such a different flavor, I love the umami sauce. And just fyi for Falstaff, eel is cooked. Not served raw, or at least when I have had it
  10. Yea, his other moves turned out so good that decent waiver wire fliers had to be cut lose from the 40 man of a first place team in August, the horror.
  11. When was the retirement day honoring Juan Uribe? When was Alexei Ramirez's retirement day of honor?
  12. I dunno, most of the tepid to negative reactions on this thread have nothing to do with Anderson's personal life and more to do with the weirdness of the timing and circumstances.
  13. Between Doyle or Peters in CF they both are excellent defenders that can cover a lot of ground to help Sam out. Venable can have both playing LF and CF for defense to end games. An outfield defense of Peters, Doyle, and B Montgomery is a pitcher's best friend. In the meantime, Sam is such a gamer he will keep working on improving his outfield skills.
  14. Yet another example of poor roster mismanagement by Getz. Pereira, Hays, and Gonzalez all dumped for nothing.
  15. Eel is OK, like most sushi, preparation and quality of ingredients is key. The only thing I've tried that I couldn't stomach was sea urchin. A lot of people really love it, but I can't do it. Just auto spit it out type flavor for me. I'm big into clams, mussels, OK on oysters (would not order them but would eat one if offered), obviously love loster, crab and scallops --but sea urchin? No thanks, rumored sexual benefits or not, it's gross imo.
  16. This is true but social media made TA’s affair very public, as in we could see it live. No one was in a hotel rooms seeing Wilt give the Stilt to multiple women.
  17. I am going to have to try sushi someday, I like tuna and I like salmon. Eel ehh no, that's not happening.
  18. Eh, I dunno, Wilt Chamberlain has a folk tale like reverence built around his womanizing.
  19. I’m pretty sure I remember seeing a picture/video of TA in the passenger seat of a car his baby mama was driving while pregnant with his unborn child. I think it was Instagram or Snapchat.
  20. I could not give any less of a s%*# about what TA did in his personal life, or what any athlete does for that matter, unless it's an actual crime like domestic violence. If the consequences of his infidelity contributed to his decline as a player, that's his problem for being an idiot.
  21. Tim Anderson retires after 10 MLB seasons - Sox MachineFormer White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is retiring from baseball, he announced Monday in a Zoom call with Chicago-area media. “I still love the game, but it’s just brought too much pain to me, so goi
  22. Oh yea @Falstaff I got high hopes for Vasil. I think he can be a solid 3rd starter maybe. If nothing else he's a good addition into the mix next year.
  23. Taylor has been impressive in the pen. I agree with you on Taylor and McDougal both get a crack at a SP role.in 2027 There was talk of Mike Vasil possibly starting before he went down with TJ. The timeline on Mike might put him back in the pen 2027 mid-season, who knows on the rehab.
  24. Yeah, but when he gets a hold of one....
  25. Today

  26. American sushi is heavy on tuna/salmon. Every once in a while I will find a good alternate fish roll, but damn everything is a play on California and spicy tuna. Yellowfin is pretty awesome, I’m also a big fan of eel. Just love trying the different rolls when I get out to a actual sushi restaurant
