  1. As I said, I don't like trading Fajardo. I never heard of Booser before this trade, but it sure seems like they're trying to not go into 2025 with the BP issues they had last year. And if Booser's as impressive as it sounds like, they can get a couple pieces when it's time to move him.
  2. Yes, he will be part of the next playoff team. And if not, players we get in trade for him will. I never heard anybody say that Burger was "too old", and that's why he was traded. I heard that KW hated Hostetler and he hated the Burger pick. If you're using Romy Gonzalez as a comparison, then I guess you're saying that one day, Fajardo will have a good season as a bullpen arm when a manager figures out how to use him in ways that he doesn't get exposed, and clobbered.
  3. I'm not understanding. Are you saying that no pitcher who has been described as having closer or setup upside has ever been successful? Or are you using one single example to say that the White Sox should never make trades to upgrade their bullpen? Neither make much sense.
  4. Booser throws 96. Maybe they see closer upside. Or at least lefty setup upside. If he's that, they can trade him for two Fajardos in July.
  5. Yhoiker Fajardo - 17 year old struck out 64 in 50 innings in the DSL. Actually an interesting prospect.
  6. Let's see if this burner account is any more accurate... I think I like this less than Tyler Schweitzer.
  7. If it's Schweitzer, this is one trade I do not like at the outset. I hope Bannister sees something huge in this Booser dude.
  8. I said Jonathan Cannon, at one point, but yeah, why not deal from strength in a crazy pitching market?
  9. At one point, I would have considered Jonathan Stiever a starting pitching prospect. Injuries. They happen.
  10. Easier, still, to pretend that a 3rd party is controlling their own actions, a team owner forces them to dump on any comment, like a slap in the face, over and over. It's always weird how those who get mad for being called out for constant negativity don't accept that a bad team owner has made the generally positive person push back on them. Bad owners are only to blame for their own aggressive actions.
  11. We just saw a full house-cleaning, but sure, let's do that every 3 years, regardless.
  12. I just listened last night. Thanks for posting it. Love how he talks up Coffey and Schoenle. The insider dish on why the Burger trade happened was fun, too.
  13. No. 60 wins would be a major accomplishment. Their win total doesn't really matter as long as they get out of the lower 40's. I don't really get the hand-wringing over "losing the fanbase". If they have a team threatening to break .500 in the next couple years, Schultz/Hagen Smith/Grant Taylor look dominant, any of C. Monty/B. Monty/Teel/Zavala/Wolkow are raking - the fans will return.
  14. That's the guy who thinks the White Sox only have 3 pitching prospects in the minors. It doesn't take much effort to see that the 2025 White Sox could be a replacement level team and win 50 games. But they won't let themselves say it.
  15. It's a 2 hour difference from 9 hours to 11 between Chicago and the West coast. It's not like he's flying home on an off day.
  16. Elko just seems like a guy who will hit even though he takes that slow walk back to the dugout about a third of his ML PAs.
  17. I'm sure it's because Roki thought Dombrowski was mean to Chris Getz in Crochet trade negotiations.
  18. I'll agree that Clevenger's only value would have been in trade. But we already saw that nobody wanted to pick him off waivers just for the price of his contract in 23. His signing in 24 was a pure desperation move to get any innings from a competent pitcher, and he failed at that. I'd love to never hear his name or see his ferret face again.
  19. Sorry. I actually think he will rake and become our 20 HR 1st baseman for a couple of seasons.
  20. Me. I'm constantly too sunny side up, so I say Luis Robert will put up around 3.5 fWAR for all of 2025.
  21. Vargas for sure. I also think this is the year Sosa clicks.
  22. That's the one I heard. That might have been here.
  23. The Padres have never won a World Series, so I'll say the Padres.
