  1. I don't think players from professional Asian leagues qualify for the extra draft pick.
  2. Wait, does it? ROY gives him a full year if he came up after OD, I think. I don't think ROY wipes out a year of control.
  3. Yeah, just tossing up everything I see online. It's tough coming down from the Crochet trade high.
  4. I think trading Robert is a priority, as well as moving Benintendi's salary. I would like to see more Robert smoke, tho.
  5. Of course. Nobody would take the gamble of treating Cannon like an established starter, but of the bunch, Cannon has the highest floor, and sure looks like a stable innings-eater. Like Balta implies, Schultz could move somebody out of the rotation as soon as June.
  6. Jonathan Cannon is probably marketable, right now. A team like the Mets gave 30 starts to some rickety dudes last season, and now they're down 3 starters.
  7. Quite the hit piece. Chris Getz looks like a dynamic, visionary "open-door GM" compared to this view of Elias.
  8. The Mets need about 4 starting pitchers, yet. I could see them hanging onto Sproat.
  9. Wasn't it Sasaki whose agent said that a smaller market team could wind up with him because he's looking for more of a soft landing in MLB than being "the man" in NYC or LA? I think if the Sox were serious about him, they could certainly make a credible push for Sasaki.
  10. Sounds like a Red Sox fan desperately trying to cope.
  11. That's what made the Cleveland teams of the 90s so potent. Every player in their lineup was an OBP monster.
  12. Cease is a solid pitcher. Ace? You're grasping. The return for Cease was fine. Some called it a little light, but the timing probably had more to do with that.
  13. None of the new acquisitions go onto the 40-man, either.
  14. B-R has Teel as a Catcher/Outfielder
  15. I'd call Robin a star. One of the biggest in the Sox' history, we witnessed.
  16. Robin? 2 Grand Slams in the same game? I think Jose Abreu had a silent half of a HOF career.
  17. I spent a good 15 seconds wondering what the "obvious reasons" were that your internet is at an all time low.
  18. Every team is suddenly claiming they'll trade for Dylan Covey, and the White Sox are threatening to convert Crochet to a 2B. MLB should have to pay me every time they pull this BS.
  19. Unless they're signing Milton Bradley, pretty much every single player is called a clubhouse leader. That's the thing about older guys. They have a little more maturity, and have learned how to focus on their job. Again, if you don't like the Tauchman signing, have at it. All you're doing is lashing out at the person who posted "clubhouse presence".
