9/10 Sox vs. Rays 6:40PM
When’s the last time you’ve seen a team enter the 9th up by one run, use three different pitchers in the inning, and walk away with a victory without giving up a run?

Predict the White Sox win total 2025
Update: At the start of the year, I told myself the Sox need to win 5 out of every 16 games to get to 50 wins (and then they’d still have two games to spare). So I will break the season into ten different 16-game chunks. I’ll update every time we finish another 16 games. Here are the results: 4-12 5-11 5-11 7-9 4-12 7-9 10-6 3-13 10-6 Total: 55-89, on pace for 62 wins.

9/5 Games
Why is nobody mentioning that Hagen pitched tonight? 4 IP, 2 ER, 7 K (nice), 4 BB (not nice)

White Sox @ Detroit; Smith vs Flaherty 5:40pm CST
Yeah, you mentioned that 5 comebacks in a row hadn’t been done since 1986. I was just adding that the 6 comebacks in a row had never been done in franchise history.

And that’s the first time they have ever won 6 in a row where all 6 were comeback wins.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
24 games to get that last win. I’ll see you soon aboard the victory train.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
I cheered on the final out and my 9 year old son said, “You’re so dumb. You should have bet a hundred thousand dollars on it.”

I did it! I did it! 50 wins!!!

8/31 Yankees @ White Sox
Speaking of pitching and the offseason, what’s the plan for Vasil next year?

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
The time has come to bump this thread. I am officially one win away. I know some people thought I was flushing money down the drain, but it feels good to have 25 chances to get that last win. If I do win, it’ll probably buy me two or three beers at the next game I attend. Maybe even a hot dog. P.S. This was a fun thread to read through, eight months later.

@Flash I saw you started a new thread, so I figured you’d be interested in reading this one.

Shane Smith (White Sox All Star)
Definitely looks more like he did early in the year. It would be great if he can be a strong part of the rotation for the next few years.

8/29 Games
This has to be some sort of record, right?

Royals series continues 8/26 640 CDT
I seem to recall a Michael Taylor double or homer or something to tie it once, but I’m pretty sure we lost in extras anyway.

Sox VS Twins. 1:10 CT. Gomez vs Bradley
Haha, I appreciate it. And I love Tauchman. Great addition this year.

Sox VS Twins. 1:10 CT. Gomez vs Bradley
Well yeah, that too. I was attempting to be funny.

Ha! You beat me by a second with video evidence.

Sox VS Twins. 1:10 CT. Gomez vs Bradley
Love that when Colson touched the plate, he gave Luis a normal high five. Then Robert yelled something as if to say “Hey, what about our handshake?” Colson then immediately turned around with a smile on his face and executed the handshake.

Sox VS Twins. 1:10 CT. Gomez vs Bradley
There have been three separate times this game where I have thought, “Wow, Tauchman might be the slowest runner in the majors.” And it’s only the second inning.

8/24 Games
Did we know he was returning today? That’s great news. Solid start.

8/24 Games
Hoping Hagen can stack another good outing on top of the last one. Get some momentum and confidence building to close out this season.

8/22 Twins @ Sox
That’ll get me to the 50 wins to hit my over bet, so I’ll take it. Civale looks solid to start.

8/22 Twins @ Sox
Fine, I’ll start it. Nice knowing that I won’t be responsible for having to start one tomorrow.

Rojas DFA'd Lee up
Yep. This is what I’m trying to say. It’s almost as if the Sox are prioritizing never losing the DH over getting Teel and Quero the most at bats possible. And I’m not saying this Lee move is what’s causing me to think that. This Lee move will obviously increase the playing time of Teel and Quero because we know the Sox ARE afraid of losing the DH, as evidenced by how infrequently Teel and Quero have been in the lineup together this year.
