It seems likely that they still have a topline restrictive budget number that they have to stay under. If they could hypothetically trade Robert (even if they eat some money) for Petty and a lotto ticket or something, they could wash out most of the Murakami cost and add a SP who is basically for free money wise and theoretically they could still have some money left for a FA SP too.

Yeah they need to largely offset that money.

They can buy low on Petty in a trade with the Reds. He had a rough start but didn't we like him before? Bannister could work with him

Sid passes Mario as the Penguins all time points leader. Congrats 87!

Between Colson, Murakami and Braden there should be some serious savagery in this lineup. Meidroth/Antonacci platoon at leadoff, Teel 2nd to get guys on base and then a wave of savages after that.

I'd rather have him kill RHP.

Even if we paired Robert with Quero we aren't getting that package.

At least we are trying to somewhat compete which is good to see.

Not if you trade for the Houston CF in another move. Maybe move Cannon and something else.

They might buy low on Chase Petty since they liked him previously. He had a rough start to his career but Bannister can work with him. If they pay some of Robert's money they could get it done since CIN is cash poor.

Awesome. 2 years is shorter risk for JR and helps the player prove his value for the market. I'm assuming we are out of the running for O'Hearn now?

The defense holds up on the goalline with another Fitzgerald pick. (10) Miami (FL) 10 (7) Texas A&M 3 Final Go Hurricanes! I'm really proud they won in a hostile environment in College Station. Hit. Stick. Bust Dick! We FUCKIN!

Fourth quarter......finish the game Miami! If we could make some FGs we'd have A&M behind the eight ball. Close it out. Hit. Stick. Bust Dick.

The clock is gonna strike midnight sooner or later but I am enjoying this season as a Broncos fan

How much room would that give us to spend right now? Note: If we can swap out Robert's 20m for Meyers 5m or so that would also help alot.

Sherrone Moore fired for cause at Michigan due to inappropriate relationship with staffer.

If they can sign O'Hearn and trade for Meyers that will then allow them to move Robert and his salary which should open up more payroll for other FAs.

12 WAR is not good value for 155m. 30m a year for a RH 1B/DH is an awful deal for BAL but perhaps Elias is under pressure to show he is willing to spend.

Awesome.....we fuckin!

Oh WE FUCKIN!

Agreed....go get Crawford

Woo hoo Go Canes! It should have been Miami and ND, not Miami and Alabama, but I'll take it. If Alabama got left out it would have been the death of Conf Title Games and alot of lost revenue for these conferences where ADs serve on this committee. Follow the money. I'm happy for my Canes though. But imo UM and ND should have been the final 2 on the merits.

That's certainly a positive.

It's always great to see Miami beat FSU....but a poor 4th quarter and let them back in it. Shouldn't be that close when it was 28-3, but seeing Nole fans go home angry in Trailerhassee is sweet.

Colson....another bomb.....#21
