  1. Yep let's see how he looks at SS for the rest of the year. Meidroth back to 2nd which he prefers.
  2. Promote to AA soon if he can keep it up a couple more weeks.
  3. Promoted or another small injury to disrupt his momentum?
  4. Thanks, Chris. (Sad trombone)
  5. Damn.....he has really turned it around the last few games. Great to see
  6. Very nice. Keep it up, young savage, we still believe in you!
  7. We already got burned on Taylor. Hagen needs to find command and stay a SP.
  8. Very good! Hopefully no more little injuries that disrupt his adjustments.
  9. Awesome!
  10. Encouraging.
  11. Very good and he had a HR yesterday. Hopefully Braden gets to AA soon.
  12. Nice!
  13. While I'm glad that Wolkow is starting to adjust to this level, that doesn't mean it's too early to promote Bonemer. One has nothing to do with the other. Bonemer has a WRC+ like 50 points higher.
  14. That's excellent....getting the hit tool to be passable is the key. The power is there in spades. And Big George is still young for this level
  15. I wish Bannister would also talk more about what Schultz is working on to get RHH out.
  16. We aren't rushing him. He has totally owned that level and it's not a small sample size either. He has played 51 games and has a WRC+ of 148 with an absurd walk rate of close to 20%. He isn't being challenged there by the pitching. Move him up to High A. Braden should also be promoted to AA at some point in the very near future. Just get that BA up a bit and improve contact and get the K rate back down under 20%. It shouldnt be too long with Braden if he can keep hitting well and with power and keeping Ks in relative check, maybe a few more weeks. Zavala should also hopefully see some substantial time in AA this year too if he can keep hitting well at the plate as he has done recently.
  17. Why hasn't Bonemer been promoted?
  18. Possibly....maybe by end of the month?
  19. I want to see how much AA takes out of his bat. That will be a huge leap for him, esp at only age 20.
  20. His arm at SS looks weak for the position to me but his OAA and his fangraphs defensive rating are both very good. I dont know how much of those stats are for his 2B vs SS performance but yeah Colson is likely to be a butcher at SS by comparison, so 3B is long term home for the latter. Still, I dont think it hurts to give Colson several games at SS just to have some tape to evaluate him at SS on before they make a decision. They can switch off for awhile. Vargas metrics are bad at 3B and would be better at 1B.
  21. I wonder if they are trying to show the league he can be a light out closer so they can move him at the deadline? I dont see any upside in starting his clock now since we aren't going to be winning anything this year and prolly not next year, so there's no need for a closer, so I don't see what they are trying to accomplish unless they're showing him off to contending teams.
  22. We were hoping he'd be a good SP
  23. Nice! Maybe Braden and Zavala will move up to AA in July.
  24. I think his BABIP just came down to earth...for awhile it was like 350 or 360 and just the other day I looked and it was down to 280 that may explain some of his slump so I expect things will prolly even out in a positive direction. He hits the ball very hard so he should be an above average BABIP player normally, certainly nothing like 350 that's not sustainable but he could be a guy that is routinely around 315 or so. I still think he will likely be in AA at some point in the summer and perhaps in Chicago in the latter part of next year.
