I'll stay home. Knowing Ricky and the way he does things, who would he have told from those 6 to yield a spot for Kopech? Easy answer for me is DFA Gio or send Lopez to the pen. But no sure about Ricky.

Based on what, throwing the hell out of a fastball in the minors? Cease and Lopez have pretty damn good fastballs. MLB is a different game. All of these guys are still in the audition phase.

Kopech has a higher upside, but he was going to be in the same boat as Lopez an Cease in working his way to that "TOR" status this season. There are no guarantees from any of these guys.

Just tired of reading this. Vaccines aren't magic. There is no guarantee we will have one, let alone one that will actually work against this disease. We have to stop living in bubble. If medicine and government see that it's reasonable to have gatherings at 20% right now, then go for it. Take the proper measures (face mask, distancing, washing hands) and move forward. If you're still concerned, then stay home and come out in 2025.

I think the game is moving well past the soft tossing contact pitchers of the past. You have to strikeout people to survive in this game today. Now, Detmer appears to have a lot of swing and miss potential with the curve ball, but I don't know how that transfers from College to MLB.

Can someone clarify if my understanding is correct that players will be given their service time if the season is cancelled? So could this be the reason the White Sox optioned Kopech as early as they did? What does this do for players no longer on their rookie deals who signed long term, like Eloy, TA, Robert, and Moncada? I'd imagine the Sox would get the full benefit of the "years in contract" and the service time deal no longer applies.
