QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 12, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) Rowdy Roddy Piper the manager? I've never been that big a fan of his promos, but he's way over and Holly/Cody can certainly use the rub. -

I am loving what Regal's doing with this power-mad GM/King role. Not hysterical, no crazy faces, just cold, calculated evil. Wonderful. -

Per Lords of Pain, a rep for ESPN is denying the rumored Coachman signing. The wording was vague, though - the guy said "there is no signed deal, there's nothing more to say". Sounds like maybe there will be a signed deal, but not yet. -

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 11, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) I got this from rajah.com Im sorry, but Mickie James is quite misinformed when it comes to horses breaking ankles and legs. They aren't athletes just like you. they develop laminitis when they break bones in their legs, the bones don't heal correctly. While I absolutely hate knowing that horses are put down when they break leg bones, it is something that most of the time has to be done. I dont think their billionaire owners want to kill their investments if it has a resolvable solution. Imagine that - an athlete making a stupid statement! I think she's probably just coming at that story sympathetically as a horse lover and not really thinking too much about the medical or scientific end of it. -

QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ May 9, 2008 -> 04:03 PM) No, they're monsters cause they have blow-up dolls in their locker room. Yeah, they're probably just showing their support for women and breast cancer research as a joke. The media seriously makes me sick sometimes.

His batting average is getting dirty. Sit him down before it hits .130.

I'd feel stupid voting for a .210 hitter for the All-Star Game, regardless of his standing on my all-time favorite players list.

QUOTE (Texsox @ May 6, 2008 -> 11:36 AM) And for the record, I think the kiss cam is a terrible idea. Except at the Wolves games when they invariably put the camera on two members of the opposing team sitting next to each other on the bench. Then it is COMEDY GOLD!!!!

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2008 -> 08:48 AM) Either they are going to bring Foley back or Wiedeman will do both/be promoted to television. That would be my preference. Dan Kelly seems like a nice enough guy, but I just couldn't stand his play-by-play.

I'm glad Kelly's out, but I am very "take it or leave it" regarding Foley. I'll still turn the TV sound down and enjoy Weideman. -

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 5, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) Did they get him back? I thought he was with TNA? As far as I know, he's still with TNA. I thought it was just a reference to past mistakes, especially since OVW is dead now. -

QUOTE (longshot7 @ May 5, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) Jonathan Coachman has signed a deal with ESPN, so he is done with WWE. Win/Win. WWE loses a s***ty announcer, and the Eastern Seaboard Propaganda Network gains a s***ty announcer. -
Maybe it was the fact that Michael Sweet sounded like absolute s*** singing the Boston songs that led them to look for someone else. I had read somewhere that Scholz hired someone to just kind of loom in the background and help sing just the high notes, but that may well have been online bulls***. This DeCarlo guy sounds pretty good, but it just doesn't sound as good without Delp. I won't see them on this tour.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 4, 2008 -> 03:23 AM) No Country for Old Men...good movie, interesting ending. Some great scenes in there with Bardem. We Own The Night...loved it. The story was great and the car chase was one of the best I've ever seen. Awesome movie. I was quite disappointed by We Own The Night. I thought it started out okay but deteriorated.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) Greatest voice in the history of Rock: Brad Delp. My vote would go to Ronnie James Dio and/or Phil Lynott.
