  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 19, 2011 -> 11:30 PM) I just want to point out that today is May 19th. Somewhere in the world, Kane is angry for some stupid reason. Ahhhh, that awful movie. Maybe he's just upset that Katie Vick never got to see him on the big screen.
  2. Facebook makes this a bit redundant, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GLEASON!!! :headbang
  3. QUOTE (juddling @ May 19, 2011 -> 06:29 AM) Quick...throw me a chair I miss the REAL ECW so much!! Those live events were part rock concert, part biker rally, part mental hospital and a howling good time!!!
  4. Note to TNA, or Impact(ed Colon) Wrestling, or whatever your name may be: You can change your name, you can make grand statements about how "wrestling matters", but if you keep pumping out hot garbage like this: WARNING: This is a spoiler for this Thursday's show! http://www.lordsofpain.net/reports/tna/imp...s_for_5_19.html it won't matter one bit what you call the show. Holy Crap, what a pile of unwatchable. They did everything wrong you could possibly do in one show. Absolutely amazing in all the wrong ways.
  5. I hate watching AJ Pierzynski throw a baseball. It's honestly one of my least-favorite things in sports.
  6. I saw a little bit of Raw last night and it does appear that there's more to the Christian/Orton storyline. They played up the "17 years to get here" and then the disappointment of losing the title so quickly. I wonder if this is WWE calling an audible after seeing the backlash against Christian dropping the belt so soon?
  7. QUOTE (T R U @ May 7, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) eh, hard to be upset about it.. Christian really isn't that kind of talent I'd rather watch Christian than Randy Resthold any day of the week. I can even understand Cena's cartoon character appeal more than I can understand what anyone finds interesting about Orton.
  8. Jericho seems to think it's part of a bigger storyline. I hope that's true, but I've seen too many promising storylines and characters botched to believe they have anything decent planned. I tend to believe the "Edge Moment" explanation.
  9. Unbelievable. I'm really glad I stopped watching. Now if I can only get myself to stop looking at the results and spoilers. Speaking of spoilers....
  10. I hope Vince lets Christian hang onto the belt for a while. It sucks that SuperCena got the other belt away from Miz, but I guess the new shipment of "The Champ Is Here" t-shirts and foam fingers arrived.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 07:26 AM) What's up with the Yankees hitting coach? They can't hit a waiver claim. He needs to get fired. Greg Walker was secretly coaching the Yankees hitters.
  12. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 01:54 AM) Crawford was absolutely nails in the OT. Simply beautiful. And Seabrook looked like pure dog s*** this game. Pure and utter s***. Seabrook better figure out what's wrong and correct it in a hurry. He's been horrible. Robert Luongo has a Pitch-Back on his blocker and trapper. Keep giving up them rebounds, BlueBongo! Oh, and Corey Crawford is The Man.
  13. Naked Raygun - Prepare To Die Exciter - Born To Die Motorhead - Dancing On Your Grave Pearl Jam - Life Wasted Matt Skiba - Good f***ing Bye
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) Who won the Tournament of Bad? Driving on Lake Shore Drive during a blizzard, I believe.
  15. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 03:09 PM) I know I'm probably in the minority because the hit happened to a Hawk, but looking at this unbiasedly I don't think it warranted a suspension. Interference? It certainly was, as Seabrook never touched the puck. But it was not an elbow at all, he didn't leave his feet, it wasn't from behind/side, and I don't believe he was targeting his head. He never went for the puck, which is troublesome, but if Seabrook did touch the puck it would have been a hard, but legal, hit. There is also more latitude given behind the net on hits than in other areas (NHL words, not mine). Just because a play "looks bad" live doesn't make it a suspension. Let me add that Seabrook put himself in an awful position on the play and needs to take some responsibility to have his head up/have more awareness, especially behind the net. That contributed to the intensity of the hit. I agree with every word. My first Facebook post after the play was "that wasn't an elbow". I'll add that if someone in a Hawks jersey made that exact same hit on a Sedin, people would have been gushing about it and not one person would have called it a dirty hit. Not one.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 12:16 PM) what or who was blurred out right outside the ring when they hit the mat? Probably the old WWF logo since them panda-f***ers were awarded that acronym in court.
  17. I do love the optimism and convincing arguments towards the Hawks' chances in this series, but I have to admit I'll be really surprised if they get past Vancouver this year. Very pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless. I just don't see it happening this year.
  18. Below is WWE's official announcement on Edge retiring from their website: Less than a week after his successful title defense against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania XXVII, World Heavyweight Champion Edge has been forced to retire from in-ring competition due to injury. The unexpected news brings to an end a storied WWE career spanning 13 years and consisting of 11 World Title reigns. The Rated-R Superstar had been suffering numbness and uncontrollable trembling in his arms and hands. This is not the first time Edge has experienced these symptoms of nueropraxia. An MRI in Atlanta last Monday was sent to Dr. Joseph Maroon, a renowned neurosurgeon and professor of neurosurgery at The Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After careful examination of the MRI, it was determined that Edge would never be cleared to compete again, and thus, he is forced to retire. In 2003, Edge underwent a two level spinal fusion of the discs between his C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. After being cleared to compete, The Rated-R Superstar returned to the ring, resulting in stenosis of the spine, or a narrowing of the spinal column, above and below the fused discs. This narrowing resulted in less and less of the vital fluid needed to protect the spinal cord. Medical professionals cannot clear Edge to compete ever again in WWE since doing so could result in paralysis or even death. Word is that this is legit and not a storyline. Too bad, Edge was one of the more interesting performers more often than not.
  19. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) It's just that everything seems to have gone downhill since they went up 14-0 in the first game. I went into the season really expecting something special (for a huge change), now I'm back to thinking this is just going to be another disappointing year. Well, it's too late to fold....WE'RE ALL IN!!!!
  20. That doesn't bother me. It's a LONG game for a backup goaltender, especially one who plays as sparingly as Turco does. Why not keep yourself from being bored? What's he supposed to do, send notes to Crawford when guys change lines?
  21. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 02:34 AM) Im thinking that Vince was creeping on the Soxtalk boards and set this up to keep Brian and Critic around for another year.. thats just my guess That's not working on me. I didn't even watch Raw last night. A full year of part-time buildup for Rock/Cena? Not interested. If they're going to do this, do it at SummerSlam and get it over with. I'm not going to officially "quit" watching wrestling (unless the inspiration hits for a farewell "promo", of course), but I barely watch at all anymore - I check the results online instead. I rarely feel like I missed anything, and Mania was no exception.
  22. WINNING. The line of the night was when Sheen told a heckler "I already got your money". Even Sheen knows that without people feeding him funny, clever things to say that he's useless. Check out the videos on YouTube - there's more dead air than a Steve Dahl show.
  23. My favorite Austin promo ever because it was very, very real: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV38FRJ6Gas...feature=related
  24. I could have chosen any of 100 Foley promos, but this one was especially good:
  25. I have to wonder at this point if Sting doesn't just get some kind of kick out of being the only "big name" not to work for Vince? I think I'd have jobbed to Mae Young at Mania rather than work in that clusterf*** they're operating in Orlando.
