I had a mechanical penis installed, but I knocked it loose during an intense "session", so now I need a Dick Allen wrench.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 15, 2011 -> 03:54 AM) You know it's gonna happen. Like I said, unless something super interesting happens, WrestleMania this year is my pro wrestling send off, a la HBK. I will give my speech in here the night after Mania during Raw. If that speech does not include some variation of "I'm going home to find my smile", I will hunt you down and give you a Bastion Booger-style finishing maneuver. (There is no way anything interesting will happen at Mania unless someone shows up in Jeff Hardy shape, so I'm assuming your speech will take place) -

Miz was very good again on Raw last night. Unfortunately, this weekly dominance over SuperCena can only mean a loss at Mania. I hope they don't have him lose the belt yet. He's been great as champ. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 06:26 PM) It always seemed like Jordan's biggest point games early in his career were losses. Once he became a better team player, and had better teammates, that was when the Bulls started rolling. I'd probably reverse these. It's easy to be a better team player when you're on a better team.

Hardy was whacked out on something. Bischoff coming out to change it to a no-DQ was obviously to signal Sting and Hebner that they needed to make it quick. Sting put real pressure on Hardy between the 2 and 3 counts to make sure he couldn't kick out (which he tried to do). The fans were chanting "bulls***" and Sting was saying "I agree". This is TNA's own fault for hiring that f***up Jeff Hardy. I wouldn't be surprised if he was released sometime this week. Of course, I ALSO wouldn't be surprised if he was given back the title and pushed hard until he gets sentenced on the 21st. -
QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 07:09 PM) I saw Face To Face at House Of Blues probably 8-10 years ago. I pretty much got my ass kicked, but it was a hell of a show. I'm sure I was there, too. I've seen them five times, most recently at last summer's Warped Tour. They're always great, and I'm really glad they came back from "retirement". New album coming out in May, as well. What I've heard of it, I really like.

Face To Face is playing the Bottom Lounge on May 5th and I already know I can't go. I am beyond disappointed. One of my favorite bands playing at that small and intimate of a room? That would be great. Damnit.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 09:13 AM) WWE has their own style of wrestling that is killing the wrestling business on a large scale. Yeah, they don't even want wrestling to contain wrestling anymore. They're trying their damnedest to phase the actual wrestling out completely. -

Congratulations to Chicago area native, former WWE personality and podcasting giant COLT CABANA on his most recent NWA title win! Colt defeated Scrapiron Adam Pearce to capture the NWA gold for the 4th time! Way to go, Boom Boom!! -
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 5, 2011 -> 10:44 PM) Another win. Similar to the Wild game, the Hawks looked gassed in the 3rd period of the 2nd game of the back to back tonight, but Crawford was brilliant so this time the lead was never in jeopardy. 80 point through 66 games, and 6 behind the Wings who have also played 66 games if you're paying attention that yet. Although that's a significant long shot IMO. Don't they have three games left against Detroit? I agree it's a long shot, but crazier things have happened....

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 4, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) SEVEN IN A ROW, F*CKERS Wow, it's fun to see this team playing to its potential. Yes it is! Better late than never, and better late than "too late". Can't let up, though - the conference is still too bunched up.

Had our return done this weekend. Nice little refund coming in. And then going right back out again to other people... Such is life.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 10:22 PM) Apparently Del Rio isnt happy about this, because it makes him less identifiable as THE mexican star(even though Mysterio is also on the roster) Didn't take long for s*** to go to his head, huh? -
Albert Pujols' extension - Cards fail to extend by deadline

"If (Jerry Reinsdorf) gave me $30 million dollars right now, I’m not going to spend it on one guy. Sorry White Sox fans,” Williams said. “But I tell you what, I’m going to take that $30 million and I’m going to distribute it around. My team is going to be better as a whole than it is with one player who might get hurt. Then you’re done. Sorry, that’s just me." I love this. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 21, 2011 -> 01:30 AM) He is simply outstanding on the mic. Noone can compare. Just entertaining (him also letting the "Ass" "Damn" etc.. out was awesome) not to mention taking shots at Cena (looking like a big fat bowl of fruity pebbles though I'm sure those 10-12 year old kids out there were pissed) didn't hurt either. I'm tired of the PG era. Bring back the Attitude era (and Austin, Dudley/Hardy Boys, Mankind, RVD, Angle, D Generation X, etc.. ya.. the has-beens ). Why not just watch TNA? -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 10:23 AM) Meh, wouldnt miss it if it was gone really. I would. Giordano's is my favorite deep-dish now. Lou Malnati's did something to their recipe and I don't like it much at all anymore. Most local places make the sauce too sweet in the deep-dish. Sweeter sauce is fine for thin-crust but it's nasty in a deep-dish.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 16, 2011 -> 01:32 PM) Yeah, that .684 OPS he posted in 2010 post All-Star Break really silenced all the critics. You keep up with this negativity and I'll retract that sig of yours, Mister!!!

Any Ideas why Major Networks Dislike The Sox?
The Critic replied to Rooftop Shots's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Maybe I'd be upset about it if there was no Internet. I get all the Sox discussion I need online. I don't need to see John Kruk's jowls wobble about the Sox. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) My relationship with the E is becoming distant. I like the Miz as champ a lot but they will ruin it and give it back to Cena at Mania. I may end up stop watching after WM. I'm just not into it and there are only a couple of guys I like. I'll give it a few more months. I'm feeling that way, too, actually. I like Punk and Miz, and then to a lesser degree Sheamus, Ziggler and Morrison. Everyone else I can take or leave. I am finding myself more interested in TNA, bad booking and all. There are more wrestlers I want to watch there. -

That's who I assumed it would be all along. I don't know how much interest there'll be if he's only hosting and not more involved. -

The TNA pay-per-view last night sounded like a total mess. They're teasing yet ANOTHER Kurt Angle retirement storyline? That story's getting old. And they give Jeff Hardy the strap again without his legal problems ironed out? I guess they must have some idea that he won't do any time, but it's still risky in a PR sense. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) Please tell me Bad Religion is not opening for Rise Against. Times have changed, my friend. The show's listed as "Rise Against with Bad Religion".
-
I'd like to thank both of you for making me feel 100 years old. Bad Religion IS still a band and they are still REALLY good.
