Zoomed home so quickly from Wisconsin last night. Traffic was nice and light.

Every one of you can just stay the hell off my lawn.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 12:50 PM) I never said the fans didn't have the right to boo him, they are just classless hacks for doing so. IMO classless is a perfect and fitting tribute for Chelios.

No whiskey for me, but sweet tea flavored vodka goes very nicely with lemonade.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 07:40 PM) Was Nexus even on Raw last night? Lame No, and they made a big deal out of Raw being "Nexus-free". I read that Nexus is being moved to Smackdown. I don't get why you'd squash the leader and then immediately move them off the show. What happens now with them? Do they continue the Barrett/Otunga friction on Smackdown, or do they start over with Nexus picking a Smackdown guy to target? It's odd booking to move them to SD right now, if you ask me. -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 18, 2010 -> 02:29 AM) Chelios got booed. Not sure how I feel about it. I can see both sides. Maybe my least favorite player ever. I would have booed.

Kerry Wood signs 1 year, $1.5 million deal with Cubs
The Critic replied to caulfield12's topic in The Diamond Club
I like the fact that Wood has loyalty towards the Cubs and accepted a lower offer from them. He's got more cash than he'll ever need, he's still crazy beloved by their fanbase, and the Cubs were always very helpful with Kerry's charitable efforts. It's actually a nice story, except for the part where he won't be on a serious contender in 2011. -
I know you'll all be horribly disappointed, but my wife works nights so I won't be able to attend.

This story is nuts.

Dear Right Hamstring, Let me start by once again apologizing for initially pulling you while running out a home run 20 years ago. That said, it's becoming increasingly irritating to have you go POP every time I ask you to do something even remotely strenuous now. Seriously, RH? Popping from SHOVELING???? Sincerely pissed, The Rest of My Flabby, Broken Body Dear Obnoxiously Cheery Winter Lovers, f*** off. Move to Minnesota, Canada or Alaska if you love it so much. Sincerely, f*** Winter Dear CTA, Just a quick note to remind you that you're inept and useless. Always, Wishing I Had Another Way To Get To Work Dear Marty Turco, Positional goaltending is not against the rules. You don't have to crawl around the blue paint on all fours or make snow angels while opponents collect that rebound you gave up. Yours Truly, Please Play Better

Don't thank "Him" yet - Juan Cena was back in action this weekend at a house show. It seems maybe Juan will do the house shows, but not the televised Raws? -

There are reports floating around that the Juan Cena gimmick has already been scrapped. -

I read on LoP that the Lawler/Miz match was booked specifically to establish Miz as a champ who fans can believe "can be beaten at any time". By has-beens?? Good thinking, Vince. -
The holiday tree and decorations are 100% my wife's deal. Left to me, there would be no tree.

The good news - Miz is the WWE Champion. The bad news - they book him to be saved by MICHAEL COLE to prevent him losing the WWE title to JERRY LAWLER. Ugh. Talk about a weak heel champ... -
The Packers' running game is too bad to trust. They miss Grant big-time. Stupid coaching and penalties didn't help matters any.

Maybe those kids have a point, at least after the crappy way they treated Don Felder.

Okay, now this is getting weird - could Poffo be lying to have something to talk about on his podcast?? That's pretty f***ed up if he is lying about something like that: Lanny Poffo, brother of Randy Savage, said on the Who's Slamming Who podcast this week that he heard from a friend that Bobby Heenan is in very poor health, noting that he "might be on his last legs." However, Great Lakes Championship Wrestling promoter David Herro wrote on Twitter that he heard from the wife of the WWE Hall of Famer, who said that Bobby is not hospitalized. Herro wrote, "Just spoke with Cindy Heenan the lovely wife of "The Brain", Bobby is NOT in a coma & is not in the hospital. He's home resting his hip." -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 26, 2010 -> 09:14 PM) Nice win for the Hawks today... Crawford is quietly making some inroads at Turcos job right now. I was no fan of Crawford's coming into the season but now I'm happy every time I see him in goal rather than Turco. I hope next offseason the Hawks can find someone better than either of them, though.

Not really surprising news, but very sad nonetheless: [courtesy Lords of Pain] Lanny Poffo reported on his Poetry in Motion podcast Wednesday that WWE Hall of Famer Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has been in and out of a coma at a Tampa, Florida hospital and isn't doing good at all. Poffo added that Heenan wasn't aware of anything and has been unconscious -
Can't argue with that!

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 24, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) Niemi starting in goal for the Sharks tonight. With the way he has played, it could be a good thing for the Hawks. True, but he'll be super-motivated tonight.
