QUOTE (T R U @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) Well that US Title has to come off him somehow.. I know, cuz he's gotta win that World strap. It's just that Bryan is SO boring. He shows up and my TV yawns.

Official 2010-11 NFL Thread
The thing I love about fans is, if the exact same play caused the Bears to lose we'd have impassioned explanations about why the call was complete and total bulls***.

Mike Shaw, aka Bastion Booger and Norman the Lunatic, dead at 53 of a heart attack. Bastion Booger may have had the worst body of any wrestler ever. (I know that's not the greatest eulogy ever, but hey, the truth is the truth.)

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 11:27 AM) I could have had free tickets to Uproar last Friday night here in Pelham, AL, as well as an autographed AX7 press kit. Didn't find out until after the fact, my stepfather-in-law helped with the pyrotechnics because he's one of the Shelby County fire marshalls. He gave the tickets and the press kit to his bloody daughter. What a douche, doing something nice for his daughter!!! I picked up my ticket for Suicidal Tendencies, and I'm not giving it to my daughter!!!

Chicago White Sox. Kansas City Royals 1:05 PM CT
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 01:34 PM) Manny Ramirez, What can you say? All singles with the Sox. But he pulled this one to left so maybe he is getting zeroed in But his dangerous presence in the on-deck circle has been the sole reason for Konerko's success this year. Maybe Ramirez can lead off?

Whats your status?
Almost 18 years ago I tricked a sweet, beautiful young lady into a lifetime of dealing with my bizarre smells, weird noises, sudden mood shifts and gross anatomy.
-
How old are you?
Older than dirt....dirtier, too.

Blago Trial
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 10, 2010 -> 01:14 AM) For some reason that book does not interest me. I picture him being a big windbag. This book would contain more baseless propaganda than a Bin Laden tape.

Brian Anderson's future...? Thought this was funny.
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 11:41 AM) I think that the patience level of the Sox is directly tied to KWs insatiable desire to field a competitive team each and every year. KW doesn't believe in rebuilding, and he doesn't have time for a prospect to develop. I remember Joe Crede used to suck at the plate earlier in his career, but the Sox were patient and allowed him to figure things out and become valuable. Same with Jon Garland. When the Sox won it in 2005 and they traded Rowand, I thought to myself there's no way that the Sox can afford to let Brian Anderson develop and stay competitive at the same time. I didn't want them to either. Once you get a taste of winning, you don't ever want to go back. With all that being said... I really wish someone could have gotten to Brian Anderson and taught him how to hit. Anderson and Rios in the outfield at the same time would have been insane. If Anderson had learned how to hit, I doubt the Sox would have claimed Rios and taken on his salary for another CF.

Frightening Discovery
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 07:20 PM) Ha, I could only have imagined what would have happened if Anderson went to a team and hurt the Sox. The server would have exploded from the shock of Brian Anderson doing well anywhere.

Mayor Daley Won't Run for Re-Election
First Chelios finally retires, now this. This is good news for Chicago. If Ni would just step down as a mod, all the jerks in the area will have gone away.

R.I.P Robert Schimmel
Survived cancer twice, then killed in a car wreck with his daughter driving. Crazy. Dude was snake-bitten. I enjoyed some of his comedy, he was pretty filthy.

Did Dusty Baker really invent the high five?
He also invented the word "dude" and the destruction of young pitchers' arms.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 25, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) Same, but Sheffield's grown on me. If you stick him w/ someone who's good on the mic, the guy could be very successful. It just astounds me that WWE has done away with managers when they are so in love with HOSSES who can barely speak.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 24, 2010 -> 10:36 PM) - Serena released for "not living up her gimmick" I guess cutting all your hair isn't good enough. - Skip Sheffield injures his leg at a house show; out for a few months - Sources say they don't expect the Nexus to last past October. Rumor is she likey the drinky. Nexus could easily fade away when the stable is broken up, as far as I'm concerned. Barrett's the only one I give half a crap about anyway.

Sox @ Twins, Thursday, 8/19, M56 v The Stache
QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 10:30 AM) He would then injure his hamstring while charging the mound. He'd also break his hand in four places on the first punch.

Back Up The Truck???
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 12:35 AM) Dumping salary? Is there another trade deadline I don't know about? The Cubs traded Derrek Lee yesterday, y'know. That kind of deal happens in August every year. The Sox should look into whatever deals they can make. Maybe they can do some veterans a favor and land them in pennant races. That ain't happening here anymore.

Maybe if this second-half fade didn't happen every goddamned year I'd be more optimistic. Maybe if the Sox didn't seem to fold up like origami against the Twins every year I'd be more optimistic. Maybe if the Sox weren't a .500 team against the American League this season I'd be more optimistic. I was pessimistic (although surprised they were winning like that) during the magical 25-5 run because I saw how many bad teams the Sox were beating during that stretch. Tigers, Cubs twice, Pirates, Nationals, Royals twice. Yes, they also beat some good teams during that run, but 15 of those 25 wins came against the teams I listed. Maybe I'm a horrible negative fan, but I don't see a championship team on the South Side this year at all. I'll happily eat those words if they somehow win it, but I really don't see it happening. WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR, as one team's super-optimistic awesome fanbase always says!

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 16, 2010 -> 10:24 AM) That was the first PPV I've seen in well over a year, and what a shocking ending. John Cena overcomes massive odds to win the main event of the night?! Don't see that too often. That's what I like about The E - they always keep you guessing!

QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 11, 2010 -> 12:54 PM) Man no way, Sheamus has to be heel He'd still behave as a heel, but the fans would cheer him. Isn't that how half the faces act anyway, ever since Austin? I think it could work.

QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 10, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) I have a hard time believing trips comes back and doesn't feud with Sheamus.. but your idea would be cooler Tripsy could use Nexus to "make Sheamus' life a LIVING HELLLL-UHHH" and turn Sheamus babyface in the process. I could see it....FELLA.
