I saw Grown Ups yesterday. Not good. It had a few laughs and a couple good-looking women, but just a very lackluster movie.
  2. Kane and the Miz win the MITB briefcases, Kane cashes his in the same night and beats Mysterio for the World title. Sheamus wins the cage match with some "help" from the Nexus. I only read the results, I didn't see the PPV. nterested to hear if it was any good - didn't seem that great from reading about it.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 08:02 AM) Saw The Ice Harvest last night. I really liked it. Not sure why, but I like Oliver Platt. Combining him with Billy Bob Thornton, Mike Starr, and Randy Quiad really covered up my dislike for John Cusack. Oliver Platt always entertains me. An under-rated favorite of mine.
  4. So, despite having to wake up for work before 3 AM, I decided to stay up to watch the ECW Invasion. My review? Bad from the start. When Dixie waited until AFTER she sat ringside and watched the "cops" mace a bunch of guys, including her World Champion, to tell everyone "I INVITED THEM!!!", any hope I had for the angle dropped significantly.
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 03:09 AM) Whats with the spoiler tags? Aren't we all smarks here, im pretty sure all of us know whats going on or will be going on anyways.. I don't think there is anyone that's going to come in here and cry YOU RUINED SMACKDOWN FOR ME!!!! I just want to give people the option of reading it or not - it just takes a second to click and drag, so I figure it's not putting people out too badly.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 05:42 PM) Beach clearly trying to make a name for himself as the next enforcer for the Hawks. Yep, any 5' 9", 160 pound NHL goons better LOOK OUT - WATCH YOUR BACK, Martin St. Louis!!!!
  7. No one likes the Indians or the White Sox. The Dodgers are beloved. He got like 3 hits as a Dodger. He goes into the Hall a Dodger. [do I really need green for this??]
  8. The "less experienced" Hawk fans will flip out if the Hawks let Niemi leave. First Buff, then Versteeg (to a lesser extent), then Niemi? "OMG, all the Hawks have left is Toews and Kane!!!"
  9. I VOTED HEAT!!! I WIN!!!! ....sure, I JUST NOW voted, but still....
  10. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 09:26 AM) When attending a hockey game....you never get up during the action. You wait for a stoppage in play, i.e., a whistle. Same goes for when you're returning to your seat. Wait at the top of the stairs for a whistle, then scurry to your seat. It's hockey etiquette 101. Congratulations, you now know more than about 50% of the Hawk fans that attended the playoffs this year. There are generally ushers to keep you from returning to your seat during play, but it's on you to stay seated until a whistle.
  11. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) Brett Favre has to be so relieved this is almost over with. "Man, he's gettin' all this attention and he hasn't even threatened to retire yet??? GELUS!!!!"
  12. Much like an NBA playoff game, you'll only need to watch the last 2 minutes of LeBron's Narcissism Hour.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 01:30 PM) Yahoo had an update on this actually, it sounds like it's Red Wings or retirement now for Modano. They were guessing somewhere around 1.3 million for him if he signs. I'd find the link but i'm too lazy. 1.3 mil is a decent gamble for Modano. I'd be surprised if the Red Wings said no to him if he wants to play. He seems like just the kind of aging star the Wings seem to milk a year or two out of.
  14. The Red Wings are also said to be interested in Modano, and would need him much more than the Hawks do. Plus, he'd be "going home", so there's that. Modano would be an interesting idea for a third or fourth-line guy with some PP ability. He's at the end of the road, but it might be fun to see how much more road he's got. Of course, you don't pay him much at this point. If anything even slightly resembling a "bidding war" happens, you quickly wave goodbye.
  15. The thing that would really put the cherry on top for me is if LeBron had the NBA draft lottery ball with the giant envelopes in it, and one of them had a blatantly bent corner. I'd actually be sorry I missed it if that happened - there's no way I'm watching the season finale of "LeBron James' Ass-Kiss Rodeo".
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) Ya, but in the middle of a divorce I'm sure he'd rather have an extra 30 million than not. If Wade finally tells Heat he wants to go to Chicago, will they help with a sign and trade or not? Unless he looks at the extra 30 million as a potential 15 extra million for her, and doesn't want her to have it. I don't know his situation at all, so this is mere speculation on my part (as is most of what's on these 171 pages anyway).
  17. Even with home field at stake, I couldn't care less about the All-Star Game. Ortiz is having a good first half, Konerko is having a better one.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) Supposedly Tiger is into some really weird things. She was/is taking some college courses on psych issues. It looks like she's getting $100 million, a max contract. Apparently if Tiger lets Elin leave as a UFA, he can do a sign-and-trade for two max skanks. He just can't announce them to the kids until the deals are finalized.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:08 PM) They are rarely using Velvet these days. She was on last week but before that she wasn't on for 3 weeks and nothing again this week. Lame I read that they're planning to have Velvet turn on Madison at the PPV and re-form the original Beautiful People. Not sure what that means for Lacey - I may have to console her.....
  20. Wow. No crowd reaction at all for Abyss' VIOLENT PATH OF CARNAGE AND DESTRUCTION. Dead silent.
  21. Taz seems to have finally graduated TNA's "How To Bludgeon Viewers With Obvious Facts" announcing course. I kind of got the point that tonight's referee is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Rob Van Dam, well before the 67th time he told me.
  22. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 08:20 PM) His play last season indicates he's not quite NHL ready. Ahhhhh, what do YOU know about the Thrashers and their minor-league affiliate, the Wolves???
  23. Bad news about Rick Steamboat: WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat remains hospitalized in Tampa after suffering a brain aneurysm on Wednesday night, according to Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com. His condition has been upgraded to stable. Powell's POV: That's a lot more serious than the WWE website report seemed to suggest earlier today when they said he went to the hospital with neck and shoulder pain. WWE has been quick to point out that his condition is likely unrelated to the "stunt" that he performed with The Nexus during Monday's WWE Raw. This original source for the above news was Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com. Get well soon, Dragon!
